국문 초록

이 연구는 제7차 교육과정과 2007 개정 교육과정에서 교육내용 진술 방식이 지닌 의미와 한계를 고찰하는 데 목적이 있었다. 교육내용 진술 방식을 분석하기 위하여 다양성, 통합성, 체계성, 명료성의 4개 기준을 선정하였다. 첫째, 다양성의 측면에서 제7차 교육과정의 교육내용은 동일한 주제를 대상으로 다양한 탐구 활동을 수행하는 데 어려움이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 2007 개정 교육과정의 교육내용은 주제별로 기초 탐구 활동을 다양하게 경험할 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 반면, 학생들의 깊이있는 개념 이해를 돕는 데는 어려움이 있을 것으로 예상되었다. 둘째, 통합성의 측면에서 제7차 교육과정의 교육내용 진술 방식은 사회 현상과 자연 현상의 통합 관계를 제시하였으나, 교과서 내용 구성에 있어 실제 통합의 효과는 그리 크지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 2007 개정 교육과정의 교육내용은 사회 현상과 자연 현상 간의 관계를 제시하지 않았으며, 실험본 교과서 내용에서도 영역 간의 통합은 약한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 체계성의 측면에서 제7차 교육과정의 경우, 기초 탐구 활동과 활동 주제 간에 일관성 있는 진술이 요구되었다. 2007 개정 교육과정의 경우에도 활동 주제를 진술하는 방식이나 활동 주제와 기초 탐구 활동을 관계짓는 데 보다 일관성이 요구되었다. 넷째, 명료성의 측면에서 제7차 교육과정과 2007 개정 교육과정의 성취기준이 평가기준으로 기능할 수 있기 위해서는 보다 세분화된 수준으로 진술될 필요가 제기되었다. 마지막으로 네 가지의 후속 연구를 제언하면서 논문을 마무리하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper was to analyze the defining way of the contents in 'Life for wisdom' the 7th national curriculum and 2007 new curriculum. The defining way of the contents was divided into two aspects: defining focus of contents in content system table and achievement standard of contents stated according to grades. And they were analyzed in terms of four criteria: diversity, integrity, consistency, and definition. The results are as following. First, the defining way of the contents of life for wisdom in the 7th national curriculum permit for diversity of learning contents but has difficulties in performing various activities centering around a same theme and carrying out the criterion referenced evaluation. In the 2007 new national curriculum, the defining way of the contents can offer the opportunities to experience various activities centering around a same theme, but has difficulties in understanding the contents. Second, the defining way of the contents in the 7th national curriculum presents the relationship between social area and natural area but the effects of it is not large. In the 2007 new national curriculum, the defining way of the contents doesn't present the relationship between social area and natural area and the intensity of integration of contents is not large in experimental textbook. Third, in the 7th national curriculum and 2007 new national curriculum, the defining way of the contents is not consistent. Fourth, in the 7th national curriculum and 2007 new national curriculum, achievement standards are not stated definitely. They need to be stated more definitely.
