정신지체인의 치료공동체 프로그램 적용 및 효과성에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구 목적은 직업재활시설에서 근무하고 있는 정신지체인들을 대상으로 치료공동체 프로그램의 적용 및 효과성을 검증하고, 이 프로그램이 정신지체인들의 사회적응 및 사회적 능력의 향상에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다 .이를 위해 본 연구에서는 위캔센터에서 개발한 정신지체인의 작업능력과 위생 및 자기관리, 직장생활영역으로 구성되어 있는 근무평정를 사용하였고, Paired-Sample T-Test로 사전, 사후 검사를 실시하였다. 본 연구척도의 신뢰도는 Cronbach's Alpha 0.75로 탐색적 조사인 본 연구에서 사용할 수 있는 수준으로 2003년 8월 이전에 위캔센터에 입사한 정신지체인 38명을 대상을 ㅗ적용하였고, 무작위표집방법으로 10명을 표집하여 연구 분석 하였다. 본 연구의 시간적 범위는 2003년 8월부터 2006년 12월 30일까지 실시한 치료공동체 프로그램에 한정하였다. 본 연구목적에 따라 연구에서 나타난 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 치료 공동체 프로그램 실시 후 정신지체인의 작업능력은 73.40(t=-1.866)에서 81.60으로, 위생 및 자기관리 영역은 74.60(t=-3.925)에서 79.90으로, 직장생활영역은 80.40(t=-3.166)에서 87.40으로 평균적으로 향상되었고 작업능력과 직장생활, 위생 및 자기관리 순으로 향상되었다. 본 연ㄱ의 결과를 토대로 치료공동체 프로그램은 인지적 기능의 결함, 적응기술의 제한성, 사회적 능력의 결여로 인해 대인관계와 한 공동체에서 살아가는 능력이 부족한 정신지체인들에게 효과성을 기대하면서 몇 가지 제언을 하고자 한다. 첫째, 치료공동체 프로그램은 프로그램 적용여부에 대한 전 직원들의 합의가 있어야 한다. 둘째, 정신지체인들을 위한 치료공동체 프로그램은 적용 기간이나 내용에 있어 정신지체인의 특성을 고려하여 재구성하는 것이 필요하다. 셋째, 치료공동체 프로그램을 적용함에 있어 개별사례에 대한 정확한 평가를 바탕으로 프로그램이 진행되어야 한다. 마지막으로 개인적인 경험을 바탕으로 한 질적 연구가 이루어지지 않았고 대상 선정 시 학습이나 모방효과에 대한 적절한 통제가 이루어지지 않았다. 또한 결과적으로 일반화 할 수 있는 척도를 사용하지 않은 것이 연구의 제한점이고 또한 이 부분에 대한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어져야한다.

영문 초록

This study is intended to verify an application and effect of the therapeutic community program for people with mental retardation who work in a vocational rehabilitation center, and to examine the effect of this program on their social adaption and social ability improvement. For it, an efficiency rating which was developed by WECAN Center and was composed of the working ability, hygiene & self-management and work life of people with mental retardation was used. Also, the pre-test and post-test was conducted with Paired-Sample T-Test. A confidence degree of this study's scale was Cronbach's Alpha 0,75 and this degree could be used in this study which was an exploratory investigation. It applied to 38 persons with mental retardation who became a member of WECAN before August 2003, and 10 persons were selected and analyzed by the random sampling method. The time range of this study as limited to the therapeutic community program from August 2003 to December 30, 2006. The following describes the brief results of the study according to the purpose of the study. After the therapeutic community program. the working ability of people with mental retardation was improved to 81.60 from 73.40(t=-1.866), their hygiene and self management was improved to 79.90 from 74.60(t=-3.925). and their working life was improved to 87.40 from 80.40(t=-3.166) on the average. In order, the working ability, work life, and hygiene & self management was improved. Based on the results of this study, there are several suggestions in order to expect the effect of the therapeutic community program on the personal relationship due to a lack of cognitive function, limitation of applying technology and the lack of social ability, and on people with mental retardation who has lack of ability to live in one community as follows. Firstly, there must be agreement of all employees on the application of the therapeutic community profram. Secondly, it is necessary to re-arrange the application period or contents of the therapeutic community program for people with mental retardation by considering their characteristics. Thirdly, there must be the program based on an exact evaluation of individual cases in applying the therapeutic community program. Finally, there was no a qualitative study based on a personal experience. Also, in this study, there was no scale to generalize it. Accordingly, the study must be continuously done for this part.
