모자보호시설 모자가구주의 취업 영향 요인에 관한 연구

국문 초록

연구의 주요한 목적은 모자보호시설에 거주하고 있는 모자가구주를 대상으로 취업여부에 대해서 파악하고 이에 미치는 영향요인을 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 전국 모자보호시설에 거주하는 모자가구주 중 113명을 대상으로 하였으며 SAS 9.1 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구 대상자의 인구사회학적 특성, 사회활동 및 사회적 관계망 정도, 취업자와 미취업자 등을 파악하기 위해 빈도분석을 실시하였다. 또한 각 측정 개념에 대해 어떤 연관성이 있는지 파악하기 위해 상관분석을 사용하였으며, 이전반응에 대하여 반응확률과 설명변수들 간의 관계를 파악하기 위해 로지스틱 회기분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과에 의하면, 취여 여부에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변인은 자격증 유무로서 저소득 모자가구주가 자격증을 소지 할 경우에 있어 그렇지 않은 경우보다 취업한 가능성이 높은 것으로 파악되었으며, 건강상태 변인으로서, 즉 건강상태가 좋을수록 취업할 가능성이 높은 것으로 파악되었으며, 연령에 관한 변인으로 모자가구주의 연령의 높을수록 취업의 가능성이 높음이 밝혀졌다. 한편 연구대상자의 자녀 취학의 여부, 학력, 사별, 미혼모, 별거, 모자가정형태, 건강상태, 자격증 유무, 친척들과 접촉빈도, 친척모임 참석 유무, 사전 이전소득 등은 취업 여부에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 즉 저소득 모자가정의 취업에 중요한 영향력을 발휘하지 못하였다는 것이다. 하지만 취업 여부 결정에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변인으로 “자격증, 건강상태, 연령”으로서 이들에 대한 정책 대안이 필요하다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 결과들을 고려할 때, 앞으로 모자보호시설 모자가구주의 다양성이 존중되기 위해서 좀 더 구체적인 정책적 대안에 있어서 사전 예방적 차원 및 전략적 접근이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The main purpose of this research is to analyze the employment status of single mother households living in a mother and child protection facility and analyze the factors affecting their employment. The subjects of this research included 113 women heading their households living in mother-child protection facilities and were analyzed by SAS 9.1 program. To find out the socio-demographic features, social activities, the degree of social networks and who were employed and who were not, I carried out regression analysis. Also, I used a correlation analysis to ascertain each measurement concept form’s relevance and exerted a logistic regression to reveal the relationship between the reaction probability on the previous reaction and explanatory variables. According to the analysis outcome, variables that significantly affected employment were whether or not they had certificates: if low-income household-heading single mothers had certificates, they were more likely to get a job. As an age variable, the higher their age, the higher their likelihood to be employed. On the other hand, it was found that employment was not significantly affected by other factors of the subjects such as their child’s school attendance, level of education, bereavement, type of mother- children household, health, certificate ownership, contact frequen- cy with relatives, attendance of relative meetings, previous transfer income, etc. In other words, they did not exert a critical influence over the employment of low-income, single mother-headed households. However, as variables that have significant influence over employment include certificate, health, age, it is necessary to prepare for policy alternatives. Considering these outcomes, it requires strategic approaches in preventive context to establish more concrete policy alternatives so as to ensure and respect diversity of single mother-headed households in mother-child protection facilities.
