성인학습자 인식에 기초한 사이버대학 교육프로그램 개선에 관한 연구

국문 초록
본 연구는 사이버대학 학생들을 학력적령기를 지난 성인학습자로 규정하고 그들의 인식에 기초하여 현재 운영되고 있는 사이버대학 교육프로그램에 대한 운영 실태를 분석한 후 교육프로그램 운영에 있어 개선해야 할 내용이 무엇인지를 파악하는데 있다.
먼저 평가하고자 하는 준거에 대한 성인학습자 관점 반영을 위하여 선행연구에서는 성인학습자의 특성, 성인학습의 원리 및 학습자들이 프로그램에 대해 가지고 있는 의견, 태도 등이 반영된 준거와 지표들이 개발되었고, 본 연구는 이에 대한 후속연구로 개발된 준거의 실행정도에 대하여 실제로 학습자들이 어느 정도 만족하고 있는지를 조사하였다.
중요도와 만족도간 차이를 보다 면밀하게 분석하기 위하여 2차원 도표에 중요도-만족도 좌표를 표시하여 매트릭스 분석을 실시한 결과 평가준거에서는 학습자의 자아효능감을 증진시키는데 가장 많은 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 자아효능감 증진에서 개선시켜야 할 내용은 학습 성공에 대한 자신감을 가질 수 있도록 독려, 학습 후 성취감에 대한 기대 고취, 학습안내를 위한 오리엔테이션프로그램 제공으로 나타났다. 이 밖에도 성장지향성에서는 취업ㆍ전직과 인적네트워크 구축에 도움을 줄 수 있도록 개선할 것, 편의성에는 직원들에게서 항상 즉시적인 도움을 받을 수 있도록 지원해 줄 것과 학습내용에 따른 자료가 적절히 사용되도록 하는 것에 많은 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 학습자 존중성에는 프로그램의 계획 및 운영과정에 학습자의 참여가 허용되어야 할 것과, 학습자의 수준이 고려되어야 하며, 학습자들이 원하는 강좌가 좀 더 다양하게 운영되고, 성인학습자의 특성 및 태도를 고려해야 하는 것에 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 학습평가 적절성에는 학습결과에 대한 적절한 보상 및 평가결과에 대한 교수의 피드백이 이루어지는데 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록
The purpose of this study was to examine the state of educational programs currently provided by cyber university and what improvements should be made in managing the education programs by investigating the views of adult learners. Adult learners were defined in this study as cyber university students who were past the right school age.
To prepare evaluation criteria based on the views of adult learners, earlier studies had developed evaluation criteria and indices in accordance with the traits of adult learners, the principles of adult learning and their opinions and attitude toward education programs. And this study made a follow-up effort to check the satisfaction level of learners with the developed evaluation criteria.
A matrix analysis was utilized to make a closer analysis of the gap between the importance and satisfaction levels of the evaluation criteria after these two levels were represented by a two-dimensional chart. As a result, it was found the most necessary to facilitate self-efficacy improvement. In terms of self-efficacy improvement, learners should be encouraged to build confidence about their studies and to expect more from themselves in terms of achievement. And a supply of orientation programs was required to give an instruction on how to study. In terms of promotion of learners" individual growth, they should be assisted to find a job or switch jobs and to build an interpersonal network with others. In the field of conveniency, immediate support should be offered to learners, and proper materials should be utilized in consideration of what to learn. In the area of learner respect, learners should be allowed to be involved in program planning and implementation, and their individual differences in academic level should be taken into account. And a wide variety of lectures that could address their needs should be provided. In terms of appropriateness of evaluating learners, proper incentives should be offered to learners in accordance of their learning outcome, and professors should try to give a feedback.
