국문 초록

  지속적인 경쟁우위의 핵심은 조직이 지식을 어떻게 창출ㆍ공유ㆍ활용하는가에 달려 있다. 이와 같은 관점에서 다양한 분야의 많은 학자들이 지식경영을 연구해왔다. 이들 연구를 살펴보면 대부분의 경우 지식경영 시스템을 도입하고 지식 경영을 실행하면 긍정적인 결과를 가져올 수 있다고 보고 있다. 그러나 최근 지식경영 분야의 이론 발전과 함께 산업특성, 과업특성 등과 같은 기업 고유의 특성에 적합하게 설계된 지식경영이 훨씬 더 효과적이라는 주장이 제기되고 있다.
  본 연구는 이와 같은 관점에서 금융기관의 부서를 대상으로 과업특성에 따른 지식경영전략과 성과의 관계를 실증적으로 규명하였다. 실증분석 결과는 다음과 같다.
  첫째 지식경영전략은 성과의 차원별로 미치는 영향이 다르다. 부호화전략은 일반 및 내부프로세스 성과와 고객성과에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 인격화전략은 일반 및 내부프로세스 성과와 학습 및 성장성과에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
  둘째, 지식경영전략과 성과의 관계에 있어서 과업특성의 조절효과는 제한적이며, 향후 보다 다양한 연구가 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각된다.
  셋째, 금융기관의 경우 형식지 중심의 부호화전략 뿐만 아니라 암묵지 중심의 인격화 전략 역시 성과에 중요한 영향을 미친다.

영문 초록

  The sustainable competitive advantage is depending on how the organizations create, share, and utilize the knowledge. In the various area, a plenty of scholars have been studied the knowledge management. Most of those studies assumed that once the knowledge management system is introduced and started the knowledge management can make the positive results. As the development of knowledge management theory some studies suggested that right designed knowledge management on the firm specific characteristics such as industrial or task characteristics is more effective.
  The objectives of this study are to examine the relationship between knowledge management strategy, task characteristics, and performance at the department level in the financial institute.
  The result of this study can be summarized as follows. First, the impact of knowledge management strategy on the performance is different by the performance sub-dimensions. Codification strategy has a significant positive impact on the general/internal-process performance and customer related performance. Personalization strategy has a significant positive impact on the general/internal-process performance and learning growth performance. Second, the moderating effect of the task characteristics on the relationship between knowledge management and performance is somewhat limited and required more study. Finally, explicit knowledge focused codification strategy as well as tacit knowledge focused personalization strategy also have important impact on the performance in the financial institute.
