유치원에서의 영상미디어 활용 교육의 인식 현황과 요구 및 과제 분석

국문 초록

  본 연구는 유치원 현장에서 TV, 컴퓨터, 인터넷 등 영상미디어를 얼마나 보유하고 있는가, 유치원교사들은 영상미디어를 어떻게 활용하고 있는가, 영상미디어 활용에 대해 무엇을 요구하고 있는가, 그리고 과제는 무엇인가를 조사해야 할 필요성에 의하여 U시의 사립유치원교사들을 대상으로 조사 분석하였다. 조사 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다.
  첫째, 유치원교사들은 유아들이 컴퓨터를 비롯한 영상미디어에 대한 흥미와 활용수준이 상당히 높은 것으로 인식하고 있다. 둘째, 유치원교사들은 유치원 교실수업에서 영상미디어 활용교육의 필요성에 대하여 높게 인식하고 있다. 셋째, 컴퓨터를 비롯한 영상미디어 활용교육을 경험한 교사뿐만 아니라 경험하지 않은 교사까지도 유아컴퓨터 교육활동에 대하여 높은 흥미를 가지고 있다. 넷째, 유치원교사들은 유아컴퓨터 교육활동에 있어서 유치원 교육과정 영역별 효과에 대하여 유아들이 컴퓨터에 대한 친근감이 가장 효과적인 것으로 인식하고 있으며, 탐구영역, 언어영역, 표현영역에 대해서도 높은 효과를 가진다고 인식하고 있다. 다만 친사회적 영역과 건강영역에서는 교사들이 우려를 나타내고 있다. 다섯째, 유치원교사들의 유아컴퓨터 활용교육에 대한 활용현황은 컴퓨터 시간, 사용 순서, 컴퓨터 활용 유아 인원, 컴퓨터 사용시간, 컴퓨터 프로그램의 선택, 컴퓨터 활용수업에서의 교사의 활동 등 유치원 마다 다양하게 활용하고 있다. 그리고 교사들의 유아컴퓨터 활용방법은 운영계획, 프로그램 점검평가, 내용관련 활동, 질문해결, 사후활동 등에서 자신감을 가지고 효율적인 수업을 진행하고 있는 것은 아니라고 답했다. 여섯째, 유치원교사들은 컴퓨터를 비롯한 영상미디어에 대한 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어의 보급을 요구하고 있으며, 교사들이 주로 활용하고 있는 분야 및 활용하고 싶은 분야에 대한 참고자료 및 도서 그리고 전직교육인 대학에서 혹은 현직교육인 연수교육을 요구하고 있다.

영문 초록

  The purpose of this study is to investigate the recognitions of kindergarten teachers on Early-children"s the utilization ability and interest of the image media, the recognitions of kindergarten teachers on the necessity of the image media utilization education, the utilization ability of kindergarten teachers of the image media, the effects of the domains of curriculum through the image media utilization education, the present condition and methods of the image media utilization education, the improvements and needs of the image media utilization education in kindergarten.
  The results of the study were as fellows ;
  First, kindergarten teachers recognized that Early-children"s the utilization ability and interest of the image media were higher.
  Second, kindergarten teachers highly recognized the necessity on the image media utilization education in kindergarten.
  Third, both of experienced teachers and non-experienced teachers on the image media utilization education in kindergarten answered that their interests of the computer utilization education were higher.
  Forth, kindergarten teachers recognized that the higher orders of the effects of the domains of curriculum through the computer utilization education in kindergarten were 1) the feeling of familiarity on the computer, 2) the discovery domains, 3) the language domains, 4) the expression domains, but the lower orders were 1) the prosocial domains, 2) the health domains.
  Fifth, kindergarten teachers used various methods for the class of computer utilization, the orders of computer utilization, the number of participation children of computer utilization, the time of computer utilization, the selections of program, the activity of teachers on the image media utilization education in kindergarten. Kindergarten teachers were unskilled in the plan of management, the evaluation of programs, the activity for contents, the solving of questions, the post-activity on the image media utilization education in kindergarten.
  Sixth, kindergarten teachers needs the hard-ware and soft-ware of the image media, the reference and books of the image media, the education on the image media utilization education in a college and a field training class.
