영문 초록

  This research conducted a questionnaire survey of 10 professional basketball team players who are registered in KBL. The questionnaire survey was distributed to 94 players and collected. It eliminate no response and some questionnaires that are considered as insincere answers among them. Therefore, this research uses 74 players" answers as the final analysis data and have following result from them.
  1. The average age of the professional players is 27.82 considered as young. The youngest is 24 years old, and the oldest is 36. It is composed of 6 SBS players, Sinsegae 10, SK 8, Hyundai 9, Kia 7, Goldbank 6, Dong Yang 9, Sambo 6, and 6 players from Samsung.
  2. The peculiarity of professional players" character by age does not show a significant difference at the F statistic point from 0.418 to 1.185 and P value 0.326 to 0.834. Since the age of players, twenties and thirty, is similar, it does not seems to show the a significant difference.
  3. The peculiarity of professional players" character indicates 45.55 point of the average activity rate, self-control 45.57, consideration 46.04, 52.80 of tendency of an illness brought on by mental strain, and 52.65 for antisocial tendency each. Generally, between 43.3 and 56.7 point can be consider as normal level. Therefore, it can be interpret that the peculiarity of the players" character did not have much difference.
  4. The peculiarity of professional players" character by team does not makes a great difference at the F statistic 0.235 to 1.258 and P value 0.227 to 0.988. The reason of having the similar character is because each team forms a team with similar purpose.
  5. The peculiarity of professional players" character by position is not significantly different (F=0.015 to 1.950, P=0.l5 to 0.985). Since each position dose not require specific character, this result can be occur.
  6. In view of the results from the correlation of the peculiarity of players" character, examining the contents item by item, activity has high positive correlation with fulfillment (the correlation coefficient=0.614), sociality(r=0.459), and control(r=0.403). Thus, as the fulfillment, sociality and control are high, the activity also increase. At the same time, it also shows that activity has positive correlation with stability, consideration and self-control.
  The reason that the result of the research does not show significant difference is because the professional basketball teams have similarity although the group is composed of different teams and ages.
