국문 초록

이 연구는 지역성과 제도화된 모성 경험에 대한 문제의식에서 출발한다. 지역성의 창출은 신자유주의적 지구화가 결과하고 있는 생활 세계의 복합적인 위기에 대한 대안의 하나로 제시되고 있다. 대안적인 지역성 창조의 조건은 신자본주의 체제에 포섭되지 않은 새로운 주체성을 전제한다. 제도화된 모성을 질문하게 되는 것은 바로 이러한 새로운 주체성이 요구되는 맥락 속에서이다. 이러한 문제의식에서 본 연구는 다음의 두 가지를 연구하고 있다. 첫 번째로 맹모(孟母)의 존재 구조를 경험 연구를 통해 미시적으로 살펴본다. 즉 내용적으로는 붕괴된 학교 체제와 사교육의 가교 역할을 해주고 있는 어머니의 일상적인 제도화된 모성 수행을 심층적으로 살펴보고 있다. 두 번째로 이러한 연구의 바탕 위에서 맹모 상징의 균열이 가능한 조건들, 더 나아가 맹모 상징의 지형을 새로운 지역성 창조의 조건으로 바꿀 수 있는 조건들에 대하여 탐구하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study starts from the critique of locality and institutionalized maternity. The production of locality is suggested as an alternative to the acute crisis experienced by people in the lived world that stems from the neo-liberal globalization. Conditions for the production of alternative locality includes a new kind of subjectivity not subsumed in the neo-liberal system. The question of institutionalized maternity occurs in the context where a new kind of subjectivity is demanded. Rising from (this critique), this study covers the (following:) First, the existential structure of 'Mother of Mencius' is going to be microscopically investigated through empirical research. That is, in its contents, the thing to be covered in depth is the actual state of mothers' daily private educational labor (abridging between a bankrupt public educational system and private education.) Second, if some crack in the symbol of Mother of Mencius is possible, (conditions for change, the reconfiguration of the symbol of Mother of Mencius' to a condition for the creation of a new kind of locality, could be investigated.
