국문 초록

본 논문은 기업의 전략 및 조직구조와 고용조정 방식의 연관성에 대해 이론적 배경을 검토하고 대구경북지역에 위치하고 있는 중소기업들을 대상으로 설문조사를 통한 실증분석을 하였다. 분산분석결과 대구경북지역의 중소기업들에서 전략이나 구조특성화요인, 기업의 규모 및 연수와 고용조정방식 사이에는 통계적으로 유의한 관련을 찾을 수 없었다. 다만 조직구조의 경우 유기적 조직에 비해 기계적 조직에서 보다 다양한 방식의 고용조정을 고려하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 중소기업의 현실에 부합하는 고용조정 방법 및 지침에 대한 연구가 필요함을 시사한다. 또한 본 연구는 고용조정에 있어 그 동안 간과되어 왔던 전략과 조직구조의 문제를 다룸으로서 이 분야의 연구를 활성화시키는 계기가 될 것으로 보인다.

영문 초록

This paper attempts to study the relationship between the strategy and structure of the firms and the employment adjustment and analyze it empirically among firms in Daegu and Gyeongbuk area. There is no statistical significance between the employment adjustment and the strategy, structuring characteristics, size, and age of the firm. Mechanistic organizations are considered to adopt more various types of employment adjustment than organic organizations. This paper contributes to getting attention on the role of the strategy and structure of the firm that are overlooked in the study of employment adjustment. In conclusion, it is necessary for enterprises to consider employment adjustment in the strategic level of enterprise, and to privide the optimal and employment adjustment by size and age of organization.
