고령운전자 대상 운전 중재에 대한 체계적 고찰: 무작위 대조군 실험연구를 중심으로

국문 초록

목적 : 우리나라 초고령인구가 증가함에 따라 고령자의 사고 비율이 높아지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고령운전자의 안전운전을 위해 실시한 운전 중재의 효과를 알아보고자 체계적 고찰을 수행하였다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 체계적 문헌고찰을 Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews 방법을 통해 진행하였다. 문헌 검색 데이터베이스는 Pubmed, Web of Science, CINAHL, Embase를 이용하였고, ‘older drivers’와 ‘rehabilitation’관련 용어로 검색식을 구성하였다. 문헌의 종류는 무작위 대조군 실험으로 한정하였다. 결과 : 최종 선정된 총 5편의 문헌의 중재 평가방법은 영역별로 운전기능평가, 인지기능평가, 정서적 영역, 운전 지식 평가로 조사되었으며, 도로주행 평가가 가장 많이 사용되었다. 중재 방법은 혼합 프로그램, 컴퓨터 기반 운전 프로그램, 교육 프로그램, 신체기능 증진 프로그램, 비디오 피드백 중재로 이루어졌다. 무작위 대조군 실험연구의 중재 효과는 모두 실험군의 유의한 중재 효과가 있음을 보고하였다. 결론 : 고령운전자의 안전운전을 지원하기 위한 운전 중재는 다양한 방법으로 실시되고 있으며, 최근에 이르러 무작위 대조군 실험연구가 점차적으로 시행되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 향후 연구방향 설정의 기초자료가 되고자 한다.

영문 초록

Objective : As the elderly population in South Korea increases, so does the proportion of accidents involving older drivers. This study systematically reviewed the effectiveness of driving interventions conducted to promote safe driving among the elderly. Methods : A literature review was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. Literature searches were performed using databases including PubMed, Web of Science, CINAHL, and EMbase, on search terms related to “older drivers” and “rehabilitation.” The selection criteria were limited to randomized controlled trials (RCTs). Results : The final analysis included a total of five selected studies. The evaluation methods for interventions cover areas such as driving skill assessment, cognitive function assessment, emotional well-being, and driving knowledge. Road performance assessments were most frequently employed. These interventions included mixed programs, computer-based driving programs, educational programs, physical function enhancement programs, and video feedback interventions. All randomized controlled trials reported significant intervention effects for the experimental groups. Conclusion : Interventions aimed at supporting safe driving among elderly individuals were implemented using various methods. Recent trends in the literature specifically focused on this topic indicate a gradual increase in randomized controlled trial studies. This study’s findings serve as foundational data for future research.
