국문 초록

This study investigated the structural relationship between factors affecting the sense of crisis in 635 adults aged 50 to 69 years. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling were performed using SPSS and AMOS statistical programs. The factors directly affecting sense of crisis in middle age are neurotic personality traits, daily life stress, maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies, and aging anxiety. Maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and aging anxiety were found mediate the relationship between neurotic personality traits, daily life stress, and the sense of crisis in middle age. There was a double mediating effect of maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies and aging anxiety between neurotic personality traits and the sense of crisis in middle-aged individuals. The purpose of this study was to provide information on factors that society should address to reduce the psychological burden of middle-aged people, who play a pivotal role in our society, and to promote a healthy and happy middle-aged population by examining the factors that directly or indirectly affect their sense of crisis. Additionally, this study redefines the scope of middle age, reflecting contemporary contexts, and identifies the causal relationship of various influential factors, distinguishing it from previous research.
