초월자기척도(the Transcendental Self Scale)의 표준화 연구: 개신교인을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 초월자기척도(the Transcendental Self Scale)의 타당도 검증과 표준화된 규준 마련 연구다. 규준 마련을 위해 2015년 대한민국 인구 및 주택 총 조사에 기초하여 2022년 3월 23일부터 4월 28일까지 대한민국 4개 권역의 만 19세 이상 개신교인 대상으로 1,437명을 표집 조사했다. 연구결과 첫째, 초월자기척도의 신뢰도와 타당도가 입증되었다. 둘째, 초월자기척도 규준을 위한 유형분류의 3분 분할 T점수는 45/54점이다. 셋째, 초월자기척도의 평균 차이 분석결과에서 전체 초월자기와 내면화된 영성에서는 성별로 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 하지만, 심리내적 초월과 대인관계에서 욕구조절은 남성이 여성보다 높은 평균을 보였고, 인식확장을 통한 관계포용과 절대자와의 관계에서 초월, 초월자와의 관계에서 초월은 여성이 남성보다 높은 평균을 보이며 유의한 차이를 보였다. 넷째, 초월자기척도의 연령대별 평균 차이에 대해서는 고 연령층이 저 연령층보다 높은 평균을 보였으며, 특히 20대와 30대가 그 어떤 연령대보다 낮은 초월수준을 보였다. 본 연구는 상담과 사역 현장에서 활용할 수 있도록 초월자기척도의 규준을 마련하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to verify the validity of the Transcendental Self Scale (TSS) and establish standards. The subject of the study was a sample of 1,437 Protestants aged 19 or older from March 23 to April 28, 2022. As a result of the study, the reliability and validity of TSS were proven. The T-score of the three types of classification for the standard is 45/54. As a result of gender differences, there was no difference between ‘overall-transcendental-self’ and ‘internalized-spirituality.’ ‘Intrapsychological-transcendence’ and ‘need–regulation-in-interpersonal-relationships’ were higher in men than in women. ‘Tolerance-through-cognitive-expansion’, ‘transcendence-through-the relationship-with-the-absolute-being,’ and ‘transcendence-through-the-relationship-with-the transcendental-being’ were higher in women than in men. As a result of the average difference by age, the older age group was higher than the lower age group. This study is significant in that it established a standard for TSS that can be used in counseling and ministry settings.
