대학 수업에서 학습자의 학습경험 및 좋은 수업 탐색 -우수 강의 에세이를 중심으로-

국문 초록

코로나19 이후 대학의 교육 환경은 비대면 수업, 대면 수업, 블렌디드 수업 등 다양한 방식으로 변화하였으며, 교수자와 학습자의 역할이 새롭게 정립되고 있다. 이로 인해 학습자가 좋은 수업을 인식하는 방식 또한 변화하였다. 본 연구는 포스트 코로나 시기 대학 수업에서 학습자의 학습경험 과정을 통해 학습자가 인식하는 좋은 수업의 요인과 수강 전후 변화 과정을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2021학년도 1학기부터 2023학년도 1학기까지의 좋은 수업을 주제로 한 에세이 공모전에 대학생들이 출품한 작품 181편을 대상으로 의미단위 내용 분석(content analysis)을 실시하였으며, 각 의미 값을 통합하여 범주화하였다. 연구 결과, 학습자가 경험한 좋은 수업의 범주를 ‘교수자, 학습환경, 교수전략, 상호작용, 평가’ 등 5가지 차원에서 상위 범주화하였으며, 좋은 수업 수강 전후의 변화에 대해 ‘학습자, 학습성과’ 등 2가지 차원에서 상위 범주화하였다. 학습자는 좋은 수업을 경험함으로써 진정한 배움의 의미를 깨닫게 되었으며, 인지적 성장, 정서적 성장을 경험하고, 진로 발달 및 수업성찰에 대한 경험을 하였다. 본 연구 결과는 포스트 코로나 시기의 대학에서 학습자의 유의미한 학습경험에 대해 탐색해 보고, 수업 운영 및 수업 방법에 관한 교수 전략을 수립하는 데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

After COVID-19 the educational environment in universities has undergone various changes, including online classes, face-to-face classes and blended learning approaches. The roles of instructors and learners have also changed, leading to shift in learners' perceptions of what makes a good class. This study investigates the factors that learners perceive as a "good class" and the process of changes before and after taking the class through learning experiences of university students in the post-COVID era. For this purpose, we conducted a content analysis of 181 essays submitted by university students for an essay contest on the theme of a good class from the first semester of 2021 academic year to the first semester of 2023 academic year. As a result of the study, the categories of good classes experienced by learners were classified into five dimensions: instructor, learning environment, teaching strategies, interaction and evaluation. Additionally, the changes that were experienced by students before and after taking a good class were classified into two dimensions: learner and learning outcomes. The learners realized the true meaning of learning through experiencing a good class, they experienced cognitive and emotional growth and the students had experiences related to career development and reflection on classes. The results of this study can be used as basic data for exploring meaningful learning experiences of learners in universities during the post-COVID era and establishing teaching strategies for class operation and teaching methods.
