중등학교 가창 제재곡과 지도방법에 관한 실태 분석

국문 초록

최근 중등학교 현장의 음악 수업에서는 가창 활동이 잘 이루어지지 못하고 그 수업 비중이 감소하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 이러한 이유와 문제점을 파악하고 해결방안을 모색해 보기 위해 중등학교의 가창 교육에서 제재곡과 지도방법에 관한 실태와 인식, 요구를 분석하는 것에 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 가창 제재곡과 지도방법에 관한 다양한 문헌을 고찰하였고, 이를 토대로 음악 가창 제재곡과 지도방법의 실태와 요구를 알아보기 위한 조사 도구를 개발하여 전국의 중․고등학교 음악 교사를 대상으로 조사를 시행하였고 응답자 67명의 응답 내용에 대한 통계를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 중등학교 음악 교사들은 가창 교육의 필요성을 강하게 인식하고 있었다. 그러나 실제 음악 수업에서는 가창 수업이 기악과 감상 수업에 이어서 세 번째로 시간을 할애함으로써 가창 교육이 줄어들고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 가창 제재 악곡으로서 예술가곡이나 대중음악 모두 같은 비율로 활용하고 있었으나 예술가곡으로는 한국 가곡, 대중음악으로는 한국 대중가요를 더 선호하며 비중 있게 다루는 것으로 나타났다. 예술가곡을 가르칠 때 중점적으로 다루는 내용으로는 발성과 호흡이었지만 대중음악의 경우에는 가사의 내용이나 배경지식에 중점을 두고 있었다.

영문 초록

In recent music classes in secondary schools, singing activities are not well performed, and the proportion of classes is decreasing. The purpose of this study is to understand the reasons and issues related to this trend and explore solutions by analyzing the current state, perceptions, and demands of vocal repertoire and teaching methods in secondary schools singing education. To achieve this goal, various literatures on singing class vocal repertoire and teaching methods were reviewed, and based on this, a survey tool was developed to find out the actual condition and demand of singing class vocal repertoire and teaching methods, and a survey was conducted on middle and high school music teachers nationwide, and statistics on the responses of 67 respondents were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, secondary school music teachers were strongly aware of the necessity of singing education. However, in actual music classes, singing classes were allocated as the third priority after instrumental and listening classes, resulting in a decrease in singing education. As singing class vocal repertoire, both art songs and popular music were used in the same ratio, but there was a preference for Korean art songs in the art song category and Korean popular songs in the popular music category. The main contents dealt with when teaching art songs were vocalization and breathing, but in the case of popular music, the focus was on the content of the lyrics and background knowledge.
