유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 원가족 경험이 자녀권리존중에 미치는 영향 : 양육참여의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 원가족 경험이 자녀권리존중에 미치는 영향과 이들 두 변인 간 인과관계에 영향을 미치는 양육참여의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 만3~5세 유아 자녀를 둔 아버지를 291명을 대상으로 전자설문을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하여 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, Pearson의 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 아버지의 원가족 경험, 양육참여수준, 아버지의 자녀권리존중 수준 모두 대체로 긍정적으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 원가족 경험과 양육참여, 자녀권리존중 수준 간에는 모두 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 아버지의 원가족 경험은 아버지의 자녀권리존중 실행에 유의미한 영향을 미치며 아버지 양육참여는 이들의 인과관계를 부분적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 자녀권리존중의 중요성을 재고하고 이에 영향을 미치는 변인으로서 아버지의 원가족 경험과 양육참여의 가치를 객관적으로 입증하였다는 점에서 연구의 의의를 지닌다. 앞으로 본 연구결과가 아버지의 자녀권리존중을 위한 구체적인 실천방안을 모색하고 이를 지원하는 아버지교육 프로그램 개발에 기초자료로 활용되길 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of fathers' original family experiences on their respect for children's rights and the mediating effect of parenting involvement on the causal relationship between these two variables. To this end, an electronic questionnaire was administered to 291 fathers of young children aged 3-5 years. The data collected in this study were analysed using SPSS 25.0 to conduct frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that, first, fathers' original family experience, parenting involvement, and fathers' respect for children's rights were generally positive; second, there were significant positive correlations between fathers' original family experience, parenting involvement, and respect for children's rights. Third, fathers' family of origin experience has a significant effect on fathers' child rights-respecting behaviour, and fathers' parenting involvement partially mediates the causal relationship. The significance of this study is that it reconsiders the importance of child rights respect among fathers of young children and objectively demonstrates the value of fathers' original family experience and parenting involvement as variables that influence child rights respect. It is hoped that the findings of this study will be used as a basis for the development of fatherhood education programmes to support fathers' respect for children's rights and to find concrete ways to implement them.
