대학생의 군인식에 관한 주관성 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 Q 방법론을 활용하여 대학생이 군에 대해 어떻게 인식하는지에 대한 주관적 구조를 살펴보기 위한 목적을 가지고 있다. P 표본은 대학생 31명이 선정되었고 Q 진술문은 총 33개였다. 연구결과 총 4개의 유형이 도출되었는데, 유형1은 ‘물리적·심리적으로 위험하다고 인식하는 유형’, 유형2는 ‘성장의 경험이 될 수 있는 기회라고 생각하는 유형’, 유형3은 ‘의무를 수행하는 것이지만 보상이 필요하다고 인식하는 유형’, 유형4는 ‘기회비용이 많이 드는 시기라고 생각하는 유형’ 등으로 나타났다. 유형 1은 군대라는 조직 생활이 의미가 있고 시간 낭비는 아니지만 안전이나 괴롭힘과 같은 문제는 해결되어야 한다고 인식하고 있다. 유형 2는 군대가 가지고 있는 문제를 여전히 인식하고 있지만, 긍정적인 변화 속에 있다고 생각하며 군대 에서의 경험이 다양한 역량을 향상하는데 도움이 될 수 있다고 인식하고 있다. 3유형은 군대에 대한 의무를 수행하기는 해야 하지만 이에 대한 보상이 이루어져야 한다고 인식하고 있다. 4유형은 군대 문화를 획일주의 문화로 인식하고, 피할 수만 있다면 피하고 싶은 곳으로 인식하는 특성을 보여준다. 이들은 군대에서의 훈련도 그다지 의미가 없으며, 일방향적인 의사결정 구조로 인하여 상당히 비효율적이라고 보는 관점을 가지고 있다. 대학생의 군인식에 대한 결과가 군대라는 조직과 군 문화에 대한 생각을 드러내는 계기가 되어 우리사회의 군대조직이 민간과 원활하게 소통하며 긍정적인 변화 속에 있는 군대 조직과 군문화의 성장과 발전의 기초자료와 원동력이 되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the subjective structure of how college students perceive the military using Q methodology. P samples were selected from 31 college students and 33 Q statements. As a result, a total of four types were derived: Type 1 is the type that perceives it as physically and psychologically dangerous, Type 2 is the type that considers it to be an opportunity to experience growth, and Type 3 performs the duty. But the type 4 perceives that compensation is needed, and type 4 is the type that considers it to be a time of opportunity. Type 1 recognizes that the organizational life of the military is meaningful and not a waste of time, but that problems such as safety and harassment must be addressed. Type 2 still recognizes the problems the military has, but believes it is in positive change and recognizes that experience in the military can help improve its various capabilities. Type 3 recognizes that the duty of the military should be fulfilled, but compensation must be made. Type 4 recognizes the military culture as a monolithic culture and, if it can be avoided, as a place to avoid. They have a view that training in the military is not very meaningful and that it is quite inefficient due to the one-way decision-making structure. The result of the military ceremony of the university students was an opportunity to express their thoughts about the organization of the military and the culture of the military. It is expected to be the data and the driving force.
