발달장애 자녀를 둔 어머니의 삶에 대한 주관성 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 발달장애 자녀를 둔 어머니의 삶의 인식 유형과 유형별 특성을 파악하기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위해 2022년 10월 11일부터 10월 21일까지 본 연구의 대상자인 발달장애 자녀를 둔 어머니들에게 연구의 주제와 목적, 방법을 설명하고 동의를 구하고, 웹 기반 설문조사를 실시한 뒤 Quanl program을 이용하여 분석하였다. P 표본 선정은 총 32명으로, 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 발달장애 자녀를 둔 어머니들의 삶의 인식 유형을 분석한 결과, 5가지의 유형이 도출되었다. 이를 유형Ⅰ에서부터 유형Ⅴ으로 명명하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 통한 본 연구의 의의는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 연구는 발달장애 자녀를 둔 어머니가 인식하는 삶에 대한 주관적인 유형과 유형별 특징을 확인하고, 그와 관련된 발달장애 자녀를 둔 부모를 대상으로 한 부모교육 및 사회적 지원시스템에 대한 시사점을 제안하였다는 점에서 의미가 있다. 둘째, 인간의 주관성을 주된 연구대상으로 하는 Q 방법론을 활용하여, 발달장애 자녀를 둔 어머니의 삶에 관한 Q 유형을 도출하고, 심층 면접을 통해 각 유형의 특성들을 파악하고 분류화하였다는 점에서 의미가 있다. 셋째, 본 연구는 발달장애 자녀를 둔 어머니의 심층 면담 과정을 통해 밀도 있는 그들의 진솔한 이야기를 도출한 자료라는 점에서 그 의의가 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 발달장애 자녀를 둔 어머니의 삶을 들여다볼 수 있는 의미 있는 자료로 활용될 것이다. 특히 본 연구는 발달장애 자녀를 둔 어머니의 주관적 태도와 특성을 파악하여, 향후 장애 자녀를 둔 부모를 대상으로 한 부모교육의 이론적 기초 자료 기반을 만들었다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 논의 및 결론을 근거로 본 연구의 한계점을 밝히고, 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the life perception types and characteristics of mothers with children with developmental disabilities and to analyze them by applying the Q methodology. The significance of this study through the results of this study is as follows. First, this study is meaningful in that it identified the subjective types and characteristics of life recognized by mothers with children with developmental disabilities and suggested implications for related parent education and social support systems. Second, it is meaningful in that the Q methodology, which mainly focuses on human subjectivity, was used to derive Q types about the lives of mothers of children with developmental disabilities, and each type of characteristics was identified and classified through in-depth interviews. Third, this study is meaningful in that it is a material that derives their sincere stories through in-depth interviews with mothers of children with developmental disabilities. The results of this study will be used as meaningful data to look into the life of mothers with children with developmental disabilities.
