학령기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 SNS 이용과 양육불안의 관계: 상향비교와 인지적 통제유연성의 매개효과 -인스타그램을 중심으로-

국문 초록

본 연구는 학령기 자녀를 둔 어머니들을 대상으로 SNS 이용강도와 양육불안의 관계에서 상향비교와 인지적 통제유연성의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 전국의 인스타그램을 사용하는 학령기(만 7세~만 12세) 자녀를 둔 어머니 326명을 대상으로 인스타그램 이용강도 척도와 양육불안 척도, 상향비교 척도, 인지적 유연성 검사의 통제 하위척도를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집한 자료는 SPSS 21.0과 PROCESS Macro 3.5 프로그램을 사용하여 기술통계 분석, 상관관계 분석, 매개효과 및 유의성 검증을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학령기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 SNS 이용강도와 상향비교, 인지적 통제유연성, 양육불안 간에 유의미한 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 학령기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 SNS 이용강도와 양육불안의 관계에서 상향비교의 매개효과가 유의하였으나, 인지적 통제유연성의 매개효과는 유의하지 않았다. 셋째, 학령기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 SNS 이용강도와 양육불안의 관계에서 상향비교와 인지적 통제유연성의 순차적인 매개효과는 유의하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 SNS를 이용하는 학령기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육불안을 예방하고 완화하기 위한 시사점과 연구의 한계점, 추후 연구에 대한 제안을 언급하였다.

영문 초록

This study was intended to verify the effect of upward comparison and among cognitive control flexibility on parenting anxiety according to the SNS usage intensity of mothers with school-age children. A study was conducted on 326 mothers with school-age children who use Instagram across the country. The collected data were subjected to descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, mediating effect and significance verification using SPSS 21.0 and SPSS Process Macro 3.5 program. The main results of this study are as follows. First, there was a significant correlation between SNS usage intensity, upward comparison, cognitive control flexibility, and parenting anxiety of mothers with school-age children. Second, the mediating effect of upward comparison was significant in the relationship between SNS usage intensity and parenting anxiety of mothers with school-aged children, but the mediating effects of cognitive control flexibility were not significant. Third, the sequential mediating effect of upward comparison and cognitive control flexibility was significant in the relationship between SNS usage intensity and parenting anxiety of mothers with school-age children. Based on these results, the implications for preventing and alleviating parenting anxiety of mothers with school-age children who use SNS and suggestions for future research were mentioned.
