국문 초록

본 연구에서는 일상생활에서 나타나는 집행기능을 인지 모델에 초점을 두어 측정하는 척도를 개발하고 타당화하였다. 척도 개발을 위해 Miyake 외(2000)의 인지 모델에 기반하여 집행기능의 핵심 요소인 억제, 최신화, 전환 기능을 측정하는 예비문항을 제작하고 성인 340명을 대상으로 자료를 수집한 후 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 16개 문항으로 구성된 척도가 집행기능의 핵심 요소를 측정하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 340명의 다른 표본에 대하여 확인적 요인분석을 실시했을 때 억제, 최신화, 전환을 측정하는 3요인 구조가 적합함을 재확인하였으며 하위척도의 내적합치도가 0.727 ~ 0.773으로 나타나 하위척도의 문항들이 동일한 개념을 반영하고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 새롭게 개발한 집행기능 척도의 준거 타당도를 검증하기 위해 기존 집행기능 척도와 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애 척도를 사용해 상관분석을 실시하였고 유의한 결과를 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과에 기반하여 새로운 집행기능 척도의 의의를 이론적, 활용적 측면에서 논의하고 추후 연구를 위해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to develop and validate the Core Executive Functions (CEF) rating scale based on a cognitive model of core executive functions (Miyake et al., 2000). The items for the scale were developed to reflect the abilities of inhibition, updating, and shifting in our everyday lives. An exploratory factor analysis for those items was conducted to examine the factor structure of the scale based on the data collected from 340 young adult participants. The results showed that 16 items were valid for three factors of the CEF rating scale. Subsequently, the confirmatory factor analysis was performed for another sample of 340 adults, and the three-factor structure of the scale was confirmed. The internal consistency scores of the three factors were observed between 0.727 and 0.773, which indicates that the items for each subscale appear to measure the same concept. Finally, correlation analyses confirmed the validity of the newly developed scale by showing significant relationships to other executive function scales and an Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder scale. The implications of this study were discussed in terms of theory and application, and suggestions were presented for further research.
