학교공동체의 개념적 요인 탐색

국문 초록

현대 사회의 학교는 구성원들 간의 이질성으로 말미암아 많은 갈등 양상을 보이고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 학교공동체의 개념적 요인을 밝혀내어 단위 학교의 공동체 형성을 돕기 위한 목적으로 이루어졌다. 이를 위하여 먼저 학교공동체 논의 배경 및 학교공동체 개념에 대한 견해, 학교공동체를 보는 관점에 대한 고찰을 통하여 현대 학교의 특성에 부합하는 학교공동체의 지향을 모색하였다. 이를 바탕으로 학교공동체를 연구한 주요 문헌에 대한 내용분석을 시도하여 학교공동체에 대한 포스트모더니즘적 관점에 부합하는 9가지의 주요 개념적요인들을 도출하였다. 9가지의 개념적 요인들은 연대, 헌신, 이해 · 존중, 소속감, 다양성, 협력, 책임, 평등, 배려 등이다. 이들 주요 요인들은 현대 학교들이 현실적으로 지향할 수밖에 없는 '차이'의 공동체 형성을 위하여 필수불가결한 요소들이기 때문에 학교공동체의 형성 요인으로 간주될 수 있다.

영문 초록

A school in modem society has a lot of conflicts because of their differences among its members. This study was conducted to find out the conceptual factors in school community in order to help schools to build community. At first, this research has sought for the views of school community corresponding with the characteristics of the modem school. It was done through the review of the current surge of interests in school community and the conception of school community, the inquiry about the viewpoints of school community. Next, the content analysis about the main previous studies on school community was tried. Consequently, the nine main conceptual factors corresponding with posbnodem views of modem school community were derived. The factors are solidarity, devotion, mutual understanding-respect, a sense of belonging, diversity, cooperation, responsibility, equality, consideration. These main factors can be accepted as the factors to establish a school community because they are essential to form a community of 'difference' or 'diversity' for which the modem schools can not help aiming in actuality.
