국문 초록

학생의 공동체 의식 신장은 명시적 교육과정으로 학교의 의도적인 계획에 의해 교과뿐만 아니라 창의적 체험활동이 활용되고 있다. 그러나 모든 학습이 의도적인 계획을 통하여 일어나는 것은 아니며 의도하지 않은 잠재적 교육과정이 존재할 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 잠재적 교육과정으로 교사의 허용적 및 권위주의적 교수방식이 아동의 공동체 의식 형성에 미치는 영향과 아동의 가정 배경과 교수방식의 상호작용 효과를 조사하는 것이다. 본 연구는 초등학교 3 학년과 5 학년 시기의 종단자료를 활용하여 아동의 응답을 통해 측정한 교수방식의 내생성 (endogeneity)을 통제하며 인과적 (causal) 설명의 가능성을 높이기 위해서 고정효과(fixed effects) 모형을 적용하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과는 교사의 허용적 교수방식이 아동의 공동체 의식을 유의미하게 향상시키며 교사의 허용적 교수방식과 아동의 계충배경의 상호작용 효과를 보여준다. 그러나 권위주의적 교수방식은 아동의 공동체 의식을 유의미하게 감소시킨다. 교사의 교수방식 선택에 의한 아동의 공동체 의식 형성은 교사가 의도한 것이 아니므로 지각되지 않으며 따라서 잠재적 교육과정이라 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The development of students' sense of community is an explicit curriculum, and not only each subject but also creative experiential activities are being utilized by the school's intentional plan. However, not all learning occurs through deliberate planning and unintended hidden curriculum may exist. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of teachers' permissive and authoritarian instructional styles on the formation of children's sense of community as hidden curriculum, and the interaction effects of children's home background and instructional styles. This study uses longitudinal data from the 3rd and 5th grades of elementary school to control the endogeneity of instructional styles measured through children's responses, and fixed effect model was applied to increase the possibility of causal explanations. The analysis of this study shows that the teacher's permissive instructional styles significantly improve children's sense of community and there is a significant interaction effect between the teacher's permissive instructional styles and the child's social background. However, authoritarian instructional styles significantly reduce children's sense of community. The building of children's sense of community by the teacher's choice of instructional styles is not perceived because it is not intended by the teacher, and therefore it can be said to be a hidden curriculum.
