국문 초록

본 연구는 비대면 상황에서 동료 튜터링 프로그램에 참여한 튜터들의 경험이 가지는 의미를 탐색해 보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 A대학의 튜터링 프로그램에 참여한 튜터들 중 무작위로 9명을 선정하여 인터뷰를 통해 자료를 수집하고, 참여자들의 심층면담을 통한 질적 연구 방법으로 진행하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 비대면 튜터링은 시간과 장소를 뛰어넘고, 줌을 통해 진행하게 되었다. 그러면서 온라인의 장점을 발견하게 되었다. 둘째, 비대면 튜터링을 진행하다보니 소통의 어려움 겪게 되었다. 그리고 줌의 한계를 느끼고, 비대면 튜터링을 진행하면서 주변 여건과 환경에 부딪히게 되었다. 셋째, 비대면 튜터링은 선후배 관계로 관계의 끈을 형성하였고, 비대면 튜터링의 소통의 한계를 극복하기 위해 다른 방법을 찾게 되었다. 그리고 줌을 대체할 만한 매체를 찾아 사용하게 되었다. 이처럼 비대면 상황에서 발생하는 어려움을 극복하기 위해 노력하는 부분을 살펴볼 수 있었다. 본 연구는 결과를 바탕으로 비대면 상황에서 동료 튜터링 프로그램의 구성과 운영을 위한 시사점을 제시하였다는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the meaning of the experiences of tutors who participated in peer tutoring programs in non-face-to-face situations. For this purpose, 9 students were randomly selected from among the tutors participating in the tutoring program at University A. Data were collected through interviews, and a qualitative research method was conducted through in-depth interviews with the participant. The results are as follow. First, non-face-to-face tutoring transcends time and place, and proceeds through Zoom. Then tutors discovered the advantages of online. Second, tutors had difficulties in communication because it was conducting non-face-to-face tutoring. And tutors had the limitations of Zoom, and encountered the surrounding conditions and environment while conducting non-face-to-face tutoring. Third, non-face-to-face tutoring was forming a bond between seniors and juniors, and other methods were found to overcome the communication limitations of non-face-to-face tutoring. Tutors started looking for a medium that could replace Zoom. As such, it was possible to examine the part of efforts to overcome the difficulties that arise in non-face-to-face situations. Based on the results, this study is meaningful in that it suggests implications for the organization and operation of peer tutoring programs in non-face-to-face situations.
