국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 어머니-자녀 상호작용, 아동의 자존감과 그릿, 그리고 학교적응 간의 관계를 탐색하는 것이다. 즉, 어머니-자녀 간 상호작용이 아동의 학교적응에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것 뿐만 아니라, 아동의 자존감과 그릿을 통한 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것을 살펴보았다. 이 연구는 PSCK 데이터를 사용하여 5학년 아동 1,234명과 그들의 어머니를 대상으로 하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다: 첫째, 어머니-자녀 간 상호작용이 아동의 학교적응에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니-자녀 상호작용과 아동의 학교적응 간의 관계에서 각각 아동의 자존감과 그릿이 매개효과가 나타났다. 셋째, 어머니-자녀 상호작용과 아동의 학교적응 간의 관계에서 아동의 자존감과 그릿의 순차적 매개효과가 나타났다. 본 연구는 어머니가 아동과 다양한 활동을 참여할 수 있는 환경을 조성하여 상호작용할 수 있도록 하는 구체적인 정책과 지원의 필요성을 강조하며, 아동들이 학교생활에 잘 적응할 수 있도록 교육 프로그램과 개입 방법론을 구체화하는 데 도움이 될 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore pathways between mother-child interaction, children’s self-esteem and grit, and school adaptation. In other words, we examined the direct effects of mother-child interaction on children’s school adaptation, as well as the indirect effects of children’s self-esteem and grit. Using PSCK data, this study included 1,234 children in fifth grade and their mothers. The results of the study are as follows: First, mother-child interaction was shown to have a direct impact on children’s school adaptation. Second, in the relationship between mother-child interaction and children’s school adaptation, children’s self-esteem and grit were shown to play a mediating role, respectively. Finally, in the relationship between mother-child interaction and children’s school adaptation, children’s self-esteem and grit were shown to play a sequential mediating role. This study highlights the need for specific policies and support to help mothers create an environment where they can engage in various activities with their children and to help them receive positive parenting, and will help to formulate educational programs and interventions to support children adapt to school life.
