국문 초록

이 연구에서는 초등학교 고학년 남녀 학생이 지각한 부모-자녀 간 의사소통과 진로성숙도와의 관계에서 진로장벽이 매개효과를 나타내는지를 탐색하였다. 연구의 대상은 초등학교 고학년 남자 193명, 여자 172명으로 전체 365명이었다. 초등학교 고학년 남녀 학생 각각이 지각한 부모-자녀 의사소통과 진로성숙도의 관계에서 진로장벽이 매개효과를 가지는지 검증하기 위해 경로분석을 실시하였으며 매개 모형에서 간접효과의 유의성을 검증하기 위해 부트스트래핑 분석을 실시하였다. 자료의 분석은 JAMO VI 1.6.15.0 프로그램을 이용하였다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 남녀 학생이 지각한 동성 부모와의 의사소통과 진로성숙도의 관계에서 진로장벽은 완전 매개효과를 나타냈다. 둘째, 초등학교 남녀 학생이 지각한 이성 부모와의 의사소통과 진로성숙도의 관계에서 진로장벽은 부분 매개효과를 나타냈다. 이 연구는 초등학교 고학년 학생의 부모-자녀 간의 의사소통, 진로장벽, 진로성숙도의 관계를 부모와 자녀의 성별에 따라 구분해서 탐색함으로써 보다 개별화된 진로상담 및 교육을 위한 자료를 마련한 데 의의를 가진다. 연구 결과의 논의와 후속 연구를 위한 제언이 기술되었다.

영문 초록

In this study, a mediating effect of career barriers was explored in the relationship between parent-child communication perceived by 5th and 6th graders and their career maturity. The subjects of the study were 193 males and 172 females, a total of 365 students in the upper grades of elementary school. Path analysis was conducted to verify whether career barriers had a mediating effect on the relationship between parent-child communication and career maturity. Bootstrapping analysis was performed to verify the significance of indirect effects in the mediating model. Data analysis was conducted using the JAMOVI 1.6.15.0 program. The results of the study are as follows. First, career barriers showed a complete mediating effect in the relationship between communication with parents of the same sex and career maturity. Second, career barriers showed a partial mediating effect in the relationship between communication with parents of the opposite sex and career maturity. This study has significance in terms of providing data for more individualized career counseling and education by exploring the relationship between parent-child communication, career barriers, and career maturity according to the gender of parents and children. Discussions and suggestions for future studies were described.
