아버지의 양육참여 및 양육스트레스가 유아의 스마트폰 과몰입에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 양육참여와 양육스트레스가 유아의 스마트폰 과몰입에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 경기도 I시와 H시의 어린이집에 재원중인 유아의 아버지 309명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0을 사용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, Pearson 적률상관 분석과 단계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 아버지의 양육참여와 양육스트레스는 유아의 스마트폰 사용유발환경 및 과몰입 증상에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 유아기 자녀 아버지의 양육참여보다 아버지가 느끼는 양육스트레스, 그 중에서도 부모역할에 대한 부담감은 유아기 자녀의 스마트폰 과몰입을 예측하는 가장 강력한 변인으로 나타났다. 따라서 코로나19로 인해 가정마다 디지털매체 사용이 급격히 확산된 오늘날, 유아의 스마트폰 과몰입 사용유발환경, 스마트폰 과몰입 증상의 예방과 개선을 위해 유아기 자녀 아버지의 양육스트레스에 주목하고 이를 완화시키는 가정과 사회의 다각적인 지원 방안 모색이 시급히 도입될 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of a father’s child-rearing involvement and rearing stress on children’s excessive immersion in smartphones, focusing on fathers with young children. The study ncludes 309 fathers with young children enrolled in childcare centers in I city and H city, Gyeonggi-do. In addition to assessing the relationship between the degree of father's rearing involvement, rearing stress, and children's excessive smartphone immersion through correlation analysis using Pearson's product-moment correlation, multiple regression analysis was also conducted. The findings revealed that father's child-rearing involvement and rearing stress were factors that contributed to the environment that induced children's smartphone use and excessive immersion. Interestingly, father's rearing stress was found to have a higher explanatory power compared to father's rearing involvement. This study holds significance as it empirically investigates and verifies the need to pay attention to father's rearing stress as a co-caregiver in reducing the environmental factors that contribute to children's excessive smartphone immersion and preventing such behavior.
