창의적 문제해결 관련 변인에 대한 메타분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 메타분석을 활용하여 창의적 문제해결의 교육에 영향을 주는 조절 변인들을 확인하고, 창의적 문제해결에 관련된 변인들 간의 관계를 조사하는데 있다. 2003년과 2013년 동안 국내에서 발표된 연구들을 수집하여 효과크기를 산출하였다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 ‘창의적 문제해결’ 교육의 효과성을 검증한 연구들에서는 효과크기와 조절 변인을, 변인들의 상관을 연구한 논문에서는 상관계수 크기를 확인하였다. 조절 변인을 확인하기 위해서 하위 그룹분석과 메타 ANOVA가 사용되었으며, 메타 상관계수 크기를 산출하기 위해서는 Fisher's z가 사용되었다. 연구결과를 보면, 창의적 문제해결의 교육이 창의적 사고(ES=1.11)와 창의적 성격(ES=.9)에 미치는 효과는 모두 큰 것으로 나타났다. 창의적 문제해결의 조절 변인인 교육시간과 학교급에 대한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 창의적 문제해결에 관련된 변인군은 창의적 사고, 창의적 성격, 창의적 환경으로 분류했고, 이들 중 창의적 문제해결과 가장 높은 상관이 있는 변인군은 창의적 사고였다. 창의적 사고 변인군 중에서 창의적 문제해결과 가장 높은 상관이 있는 변인은 발산적 사고였다. 창의적 문제해결의 교육은 지적 ∙ 정의적 영역의 기능을 개발하는데 긍정적인 효과가 있고, 창의적 문제해결의 수업을 설계할 때는 다양한 조절 변인들이 고려되어야 하며 창의적 사고과정을 중요하게 다루어야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate possible moderator variables of the pedagogy of creative problem solving and the correlation between the variables related to creative problem solving using meta–analysis method. The relevant domestic studies that were conducted between 2003 and 2013 were analyzed. To achieve this purpose, the materials of meta-analysis for this study were classified according to experimental studies and correlation studies. Moderation was tested with subgroup analysis and meta- ANOVA. The effect size of meta-correlation was calculated using Fisher's Z. As a result, the sub variables of creative thinking(ES=1.11) and creative personality(ES=.9) also have high effect sizes. The moderator effect is explored in terms of the duration of educational contact and the grade level of the learner groups and neither is found to have an effect. In the correlation study samples, related variables have been categorized into subgroups, namely creative thinking, creative personality, creative atmosphere and creative thinking process. Of these creative thinking process shows the highest effect size. Divergent thinking, a sub variable of creative thinking process, showed the highest effect size. The implications arrived at based on these findings are that pedagogy of creative problem solving is proven to develop cognitive and emotional skills in learners. While the various moderator variables not only have to be handled in planning and instructional designs to promote creative problem solving, but also that educators must realize the profound importance of creative thinking above other means of skill building.
