‘노벨 클래스(Nobel Class)’ 과학자 양성을 위한 교육 방안 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 ‘노벨 클래스(Nobel Class)’ 과학자를 양성하기 위한 교육적인 방안을 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구의 주제와 관련하여 과학 분야의 노벨상 수상자, 노벨상을 배출한 학교의 (부)총장, 교수 등이 인터뷰한 자료를 조사하여 연구를 진행하였다. 관련 선행연구를 살펴보았고 자료 수집을 위해 ‘노벨상 인터뷰’로 2017년 7월 23일과 2018년 1월 13일에 검색하여 각각 5,987건, 446건이, ‘노벨상 인터뷰 교육’, ‘노벨상 인터뷰 학습’으로 2018년 1월 13일~14일에 검색하여 각 1,599건, 273건이 도출되어 이를 확인하였다. 이와 함께, 2017 11월 24일 국내에 출판된 노벨상 수상자의 교육 관련 도서 1권을 자료로 반영하였다. 이후 자료를 본 연구의 주제와 관련되는 내용으로 수렴, 정리하였고 내용 분석을 거쳐 상·하위의 항목을 범주화하고 명명하면서 수정·보완하는 과정을 거듭하여 타당성과 신뢰도를 높이고자 하였다. 본 연구의 결과로는 크게 세 가지 범주가 도출되었는데, 첫째, ‘과학을 가르치고 배우는 시기와 방법이 바뀌어야’, 둘째, ‘과학의 미래 비전과 가치, 즐거움을 공유해야’, 셋째, ‘다양성과 논쟁을 통해 새로운 지평을 열어가야’였다. 본 연구를 통해 학생들이 어린 시기부터 과학에 대한 재미와 가치를 느끼고 이를 발전시켜 과학 분야의 인재로 성장하도록 돕는 현실적인 방안들을 확인할 수 있을 것이다. 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 논의 및 결론, 향후 연구에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore educational methods for nurturing ‘Nobel Class’ scientists. To do this, I investigated the articles interviewed by the Nobel Prize winners in the field of science and the (vice) presidents and professors of the schools that produced the Nobel Prize, etc. And I examined related studies. In order to collect data, 'Nobel Prize Interview' was searched on July 23, 2017 and January 13, 2018, resulting in 5,987 and 446 cases, respectively. In addition, 'Nobel Prize Interview Education' and 'Nobel Prize Interview Learning' were conducted on January 13 and 14, 2018, and 1,599 and 273 cases were found, respectively. In addition to this, one book related to education of Nobel Prize winners published in Korea on November 24, 2017 was reflected as data. Afterwards, the data were summarized as contents related to the subject of this study. Through the content analysis, categorization, naming, revision and supplementation of upper and lower items were repeated to enhance the validity and reliability. The results of this study are as follows: First, ‘the change of timing and method of teaching and learning science’, second, ‘the sharing of science’s future vision, value, and enjoyment’, and third, ‘the opening of new horizons of through diversity and controversy’. This study will provide realistic ways for students to feel fun and value for science from their young age and to help them grow into talents in science. Based on the results of the study, the discussion, the conclusion, and suggestions for future research are presented.
