문제해결능력과 학습동기 및 인지전략과의 관계: PISA 2012 성취결과를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 PISA 2012 성취결과에 나타난 동기전략(지속성), 인지전략(개방성), 그리고 ICT변수(ICT태도, ICT활동)가 수학성취와 문제해결력에 미치는 영향력을 탐색하는 것이다. PISA 2012의 컴퓨터 기반 문제해결력과 수학성취도 평가에는 총 1,403명의 중고등학교 학생들이 참여하였다. 경로모형을 검증한 결과 연구모형은 대체로 자료에 잘 부합하는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 초인지를 측정하는 개방성은 문제해결력과 수학성취에 유의한 정적 영향을 보였으며, 지속성은 수학성취에만 유의한 정적 영향을 보였다. ICT긍정태도는 여가ICT활동을 통해서는 문제해결력과 수학성취에 부적 영향을, 학습ICT활동을 통해서는 결과변수들에 정적 영향을 나타내었다. 또한 ICT긍정태도는 개방성을 통해 문제해결력과 수학성취에 미치는 유의한 간접효과를 나타냈다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship among problem-solving, motivational strategy (e.g. perseverance), and cognitive strategy (e.g. openness), along with the effects of students’ attitudes toward and activities in ICT (information and communication technology) on strategies and achievement in PISA 2012 Korean results. A total of 1,403 Korean middle and high school students were participated in computer-based assessment of problem-solving and math achievement in PISA 2012. Results from path analyses showed that the path model fit the data well. Specifically, perseverance positively predicted problem-solving and math achievement while openness positively predicted only math achievement. Positive ICT attitude demonstrated a negative effect on problem-solving and math achievement via non-school related ICT activities (e.g. chatting). However, this attitude showed a positive effect on the outcomes via school-related ICT activities (e.g. homework using MS Word). Positive ICT attitude was found to have indirect effects on problem-solving and math achievement via openness.
