학업적 그릿과 희망 및 학업성취도의 구조적 관계와 교육과정에 주는 시사점

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 학습자의 그릿(Grit)과 희망(Hope) 변인이 학업성취에 미치는 영향의 구조를 알아보는 것이다. 일반 고등학교 2학년 251명(남 115 여 136명)의 자료를 분석하였다. 연구에서 사용한 통계방법은 구조방정식 모형(Structural Modeling: SEM), 부트스트래핑(Bootstrapping), 다중집단분석(Multiple group analysis)이다. 본 연구는 결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저, 학업성취는 그릿의 변인들과 정적 상관관계이고 경로사고보다 주도사고가 높았다. 다음으로, 학업적 그릿의 모든 하위변인들은 희망의 주도사고에 영향을 주고, 학업적 열정이 경로사고의 예측변인이었다. 희망의 주도사고가 학업성취에 정적 예측변인이었고, 그릿의 학업적 끈기와 학업적 흥미가 긍정적으로 영향을 주었다. 학업적 끈기와 학업적 흥미는 학업성취와의 관계에서 주도사고는 부분매개효과가 있었다. 이밖에도, 구조모형에 대한 성별 차이가 존재하였다. 연구 결과를 기반으로 교육과정의 실제적 측면에서 그릿과 희망이 학교 교육과정에서 교수․학습에서 반영될 수 있어야 한다는 점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the structure of the influence of learners' grit and hope variables on academic achievement. Data of 251 students (136 men and 115 women) in the second year of general high school were analyzed. The researcher used statistical methods such as structural modeling, bootstrapping, and multiple group analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, academic achievement showed positive correlation with variables of the grit. Agency thinking was higher than pathway thinking. Next, all sub-variables of the academic grit influence the agency thinking of hope. Academic enthusiasm was the predictor of pathway thinking. The agency thinking of hope was a positive predictor of academic achievement, and Grit's academic endurance and maintenance of academic interest had a positive effect. Agency thinking was a partial mediating effect variable. The agency thinking had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between academic persistence and academic interest in academic achievement. In addition, there was a gender difference for the structural model. Based on results, I discussed that grit and hope should be reflected in teaching and learning in the school curriculum.
