유아의 그림책을 활용한 창의적 문제해결능력과 창의적 사고에서의 성차

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아의 그림책을 활용한 창의적 문제해결 능력과 창의적 사고는 성차를 보이는지를 알아보았다. 본 연구의 대상은 부모의 사회 경제적 수준이 비슷한 울산의 J. H 유치원 만 5세 4개 학급의 유아 140명 중, 무선 표집으로 각 반의 18명씩 72명(남 36, 여 36)의 유아를 선정하였다. 72명 유아의 평균 연령은 남아 69.3개월, 여아 69.2개월이었다. 그림책을 활용한 창의적 문제해결 능력의 측정은 Hennessey와 Amabile(1988)의 검사 도구를 활용하였다. 창의적 사고의 측정은 Torrance의 창의적 사고 검사 중 도형검사 한국판(김영채 역) A형을 사용하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 t검증을 사용하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 유아의 창의적 문제해결 능력은 성차를 보이지 않았지만, 창의적 문제해결 능력의 하위요인 논리성에서 성차를 보였다. 창의적 문제해결 능력과 각 하위요인 모두 여아 집단이 남아 집단보다 평균점수가 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 창의적 사고 및 창의적 사고의 하위요인 독창성에서 성차를 보였다. 또한 창의적 사고와 창의적 사고의 각 하위요인 모두 여아 집단이 남아집단 보다 평균점수가 높게 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate children's gender differences of creative problem solving ability with children's picture-books and creative thinking. Participants of this study were seventy-two 5-year-old children in kindergarten “J” and “H” in Ulsan, Kyungsang Province. The seventy-two 5-year-olds completed creative problem solving ability test and “Young-Chai Kim's(2002)” translation of the Torrance test of creative thinking. The creative problem solving ability were scored with Hennessey & Amabile(1988)'s creative problem solving ability. Analysis of the data was conducted using t-test. 1. There were no significant children's gender differences of creative problem solving ability. But there were significant children's gender differences of the logicality subordinate factor of creative problem solving ability. Girls received higher average scores than boys in creative problem solving ability and the subordinate factors of creative problem solving ability. 2. There were significant children's gender differences of creative thinking and the originality subordinate factor of creative thinking. Girls received higher average scores than boys in creative thinking and the subordinate factors of creative thinking.
