집단창의의 가눙성과 한계

국문 초록

창의력 연구에 관한대부분의 연구는개인수준의 것이고개인창의와외로운천재에 초점을 두고 있다. 그러나 창의의 어떤 단계에서는 팀 활동, 집단 협의, 또는 집단 상호작용이 더 많이 그리고 필수적으로 요구되고 있는 것이 오늘의 현실이다. 이 연구에서는 개인창의와 집단창의를 문헌을 통하여 비교분석하고 이를 토대로 효과직인 집단창의를 위한 함의를 도출해 보았다. 집단창의의 과정손실에 작용하는 요인에는 사회동기적 요안과 인지적 요인이 있고 그리고 집단창의에 영향 미치는 요인에는 집단성원의 다양성과 성원들의 문제해결스타일의 다양성 등이 특히 중요해 보인다. 본 연구는 집단창의의 향상을 위하여 8가지를 제안하였다. 여기에는 발산적 사고의 규칙을 사전 훈련하고 엄격하게 지키는 것, 집단회기와 개별회기를 적절히 교대로 조합하여 사용하는것, 집단브레인스토밍에 대하여 훈련받은사회자를활용하는것, 회기 중에 짧은 휴식시간을 가지는 것, 필요에 따라 말 대신 글로 써서 상호작용하는 브레인라이팅을 사용하는 것, 집단성원을 다양하게 구성하는 것, 가능하면 문제(토픽)를 몇 개로 나누어 차례 대로 제시하는 것, 그리고, 마지막으로, 집단의 동기수준을 높이기 위한 방안을 강구하는 것 등이 포함되어 있다.

영문 초록

The majority of researches and discussions of creativity have been focused on individual creativity and the lonely talented. But this seems not very congruent with the requirement of current information-based society, as team work, group activities, and collaborative interactions are much more frequently and rather imperatively needed, as evidenced in the corporations, organizations and schools. This study examined the relative effectiveness of the individual and group creativity through literature analysis and derived/provided suggestions to improve successful group creativity. The social motivational factors and cognitive ones affecting the process loss of group creativity are examined. And, then, variables such as the diversity of group members and styles of problem solving affecting the productivity of group works have been critically analyzed. Through the archival analysis, the study suggested 8 ways to improve group creativity such as practicing and respecting the guidelines of the brainstorming, using the individual and group sessions effectively in combination, securing the group facilitator(s) well practiced in group brainstorming, having short breaks during the sessions, using brainwriting instead of brainstom血g if needed, building-up the diversity of group members, dividing the topic into several sub-ones if possible, and, finally, facilitating/up-warding the motivational level of the group.
