입학전형에 따른 대학생 전공능력의 차이 분석: A대학교 경제학과를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 전공능력기반 교육과정 체계 구축을 위한 방안으로, A대학교 경제학과 재학생들의 전공능력을 측정하고 입학전형에 따른 전공능력의 차이를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 A대학교 경제학과 재학생을 모집단으로 설정한 후, 2020년 도출한 전공역량을 2022년 전공능력으로 개선하여 진단도구를 개발하였고 2022년 12월 전공능력 진단을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학년 간 차이는 나타나지 않았으나 성별에 따른 차이가 나타난 전공능력(B. 경제구조와 시장이해, C. 경제정책 이해, E. 경제학적 문제해결 능력)에서 남학생 집단이 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 내재설계를 사용하여 성별 내 입학모집시기(수시/정시)에 따른 재학생들의 전공능력 간 차이분석 결과, 남학생과 여학생 집단에서 입학모집시기 간 전공능력 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 입학할 당시, 남학생 집단에서 학생부종합(입학사정관제)전형 여부 간 전공능력 차이는 A. 미시경제원리 이해에서만 나타났고, 여학생 집단에서는 그 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 이를 통해 대학에서는 신입생이 고교에서 이수한 교과목 종류와 성취도를 면밀히 살피고 특히 집단별 전공이론의 습득 양상을 가늠하여 적합한 교육지원 방향을 제시할 수 있는 근거가 되기를 기대하는 바이다.

영문 초록

This study aims is to measure the major competency of students enrolled in the Department of Economics at A-University and examine the difference in major competency according to the admission process. To this end, after setting students enrolled in the Department of Economics at A-University as the population, the major competency derived in 2020 was improved to the major competency in 2022, a diagnostic tool was developed, and the major competency diagnosis was conducted in December 2022. This results are as follows. First, there was no difference between grades, but the male student group showed significantly higher major abilities (B.Understanding of economic structure and market, C.Understanding of economic policy, E.Ability to solve economic problems) where there were differences according to gender. Second, as a result of examining the differences between major abilities of enrolled students according to the admission recruitment period within gender using internal design, there was no difference in major ability between the admission recruitment periods in the male student group, and the female group. Third, at the time of admission, the difference in major ability between the student department comprehensive selection in the male student group appeared only in A. Understanding of Microeconomic Principles, and no such difference appeared in the female group. Through this, it is hoped that the university will serve as a basis for presenting an appropriate direction for educational support by closely examining the types of subjects and achievements that freshmen have completed in high school, and in particular, estimating the acquisition pattern of the major theory by group.
