발달장애인과 함께 하는 그림책 예술교육 : 점 그림책 만들기에 관한 예술기반 연구

국문 초록

그림책은 장르 구조상 보편 설계(Universal design)기반 특성이 있어서 연령과 장애 비장애의 경계를 넘어 보편적인 문화예술교육의 매체로 그 가치를 재조망 받고 있다. 특히 점 그림책은 그 독특한 창작 방식으로 인해 발달장애인을 위한 문화예술교육 매체로서의 가능성이 높다. 본 논문은 발달장애인을 위한 문화예술교육 프로그램으로서‘점 그림책 만들기’ 과정에서 나타나는 예술적 측면의 변화를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 5회기 동안 성인 발달장애인 10명을 대상으로 자기-재 명명화, 감각 느낌 표현, 점 그림책 감상, 점 그림책 만들기, 점 그림책의 디지털 영상 전환이 이루어졌다. 예술기반 연구법(Art based research)을 적용하여 발달장애인들이 창작해낸 다양한 산물과 연구자가 참여자들의 결과물을 수집해서 만든 산물을 분석대상으로 하였다. 이를 통해 점 그림책 문화예술교육 프로그램 과정에서 드러난 발달 장애인 당사자들의 관점과 관심과 지각적 특성, 그리고 다양한 자기표현 창작물에 담긴 다양한 예술 표현적, 심리적, 감각적 특성을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 점 그림책 프로그램은 발달장애인 참여자에게 적극적인 예술 장르의 향유와 자기표현의 기회를 제공하였으며 자신만의 방식으로 감각적 향유와 자기 인식에서 의미 있는 변화를 가져다주는 문화 예술적 맥락의 기회를 제공함을 확인할 수 있었다. 논의에서는 문화예술교육 프로그램으로서의 점 그림책 창작의 가치와 유용성, 그리고 보편 설계기반 문화예술교육의 미래 전망을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze what changes occur in the process of cultural and artistic education programs from a universal design perspective for people with developmental disabilities. To this end, the current status and goals of culture and arts education for the developmental disabled were reviewed, and based on this, making dot picturebooks with the developmental disabled from a universal design perspective was designed and implemented. During the 5th session, 10 participants with adult developmental disabilities and researcher were participated in the implementation. Every session, repeated self-expression activities, body feeling expression, picturebook appreciation and dot picturebook making, transition to digital video picturebook, and sharing picturebooks together were carried out. By applying the art-based research method, various artifacts produced by participants and products produced by researcher by collecting the results of participants were analyzed. Through this, the perspective, interest, and perceptual characteristics of the people with developmental disabilities, and the expressive, psychological, and sensory characteristics of art contained in the multiples were analyzed. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the course of making dot-picture book provided enjoyments of art genre and self-expression opportunities for participants with developmental disabilities, and cultural and artistic context that brings meaningful changes to sensory enjoyment and self-awareness in their own way. In the discussion, the value and usefulness of dot picture books as cultural and artistic education programs and the future directions of universal design-based culture and arts education were suggested.
