정서적 학대와 관계중독 사이의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 아동기 정서적 학대 경험이 관계중독에 미치는 영향을 공허감과 관계신념을 통해 확인해보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 이성 교제 경험이 적어도 1회 이상 있는 20대 성인 남녀 402명을 대상으로 정서적 학대 척도, 관계중독 척도, 관계신념 척도, 공허감 척도를 측정 도구로 사용하였으며, SPSS 22.0 및 SPSS macro(Hayes, 2013)을 사용해 매개 모형을 검증하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정서적 학대와 관계신념, 공허감, 관계중독 간에는 유의한 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 어떠한 특정 관계신념이 이들 간의 관계를 매개하는가 살펴보기 위해 정서학대, 관계중독 모두와 유의한 상관을 보인‘의견 불일치’,‘마음 알아주기’요인을 넣어 매개효과를 확인하였다. 분석 결과 정서적 학대와 관계중독 사이에서 관계신념의 매개효과가 확인되었으며 공허감의 매개효과 역시 검증되었다. 이는 아동기 정서적 학대 경험이 많을수록, 공허감뿐 아니라 연인 관계에 있어 비합리적인 신념을 갖게 될 가능성이 크며 이러한 정서적, 인지적 측면은 관계중독에 영향을 줄 수 있음을 의미한다. 본 연구는 아동기 정서학대가 공허감과 관계신념이라는 변인을 통해 관계중독에 영향을 주는 경로를 확인함으로써 관계중독을 경험하는 사람들에 대한 개입 방향과 이들에 대한 이해를 넓혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between emotional abuse and relationship addiction, and the mediating role of emptiness and relationship beliefs. To this end, the emotional abuse scale, relationship addiction scale, relationship belief scale, and emptiness scale were used as measurement tools for 402 adult men and women in their 20s with at least one dating experience, and the mediating model was verified using SPSS 22.0 and SPSS macro (Hays, 2013). The results were as follows: First, the finding indicated that emotional abuse, relationship beliefs, emptiness, relationship addiction are significantly correlated with each other. Second, In order to investigate which relationship beliefs mediate between emotional abuse and relationship addiction, we identified the mediating effect by including factors that showed significantly correlated with emotional abuse and relationship addiction; ‘disagreement is destructive', 'mindreading is expected'. And the analysis found that the effect of emotional abuse on relationship addiction was mediated by relationship beliefs. Third, the mediating effect of emptiness also verified. It means that someone who have more experience with emotional abuse in childhood tend to feel more sense of emptiness, irrational beliefs about relationship, and it can increases the possibility of experiencing relationship addiction. The results of this study are meaningful that they examine the role of emptiness and relationship beliefs between emotional abuse and relationship addiction and it has broaden the direction of intervention and understanding who experience relationship addiction.
