국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 평생교육 교수자의 성인 발달장애인 교수경험에서 일어나는 현상을 탐색하여 평생교육 교수자의 교육적 의미를 논의하는 데 있다. 또한 장애인 평생교육이 꾸준히 확대되면서 평생교육 교수자에 대한 수요도 증가하고 있다. 이에 평생교육 교수자의 성인 발달장애인 교수경험 의미를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 다음과 같은 연구 문제를 설정하였다. 첫째, 성인 발달장애인을 대상으로 평생교육 교수자로서 강의를 시작하게 된 동기는 무엇인가? 둘째, 성인 발달장애인을 교육하는 평생교육 교수자의 가르침에 관한 현상 경험은 어떠한가? 셋째, 평생교육 교수자의 성인 발달장애인 교수경험을 통하여 어떤 변화가 있었는가? 위의 연구 문제를 규명하기 위해 현상학적 연구 방법 중 Colaizzi 의 연구 방법을 이용하였다. 연구 참여자는 일반 강의 교수 경력 5 년 이상, 성인 발달장애인 강의 교수 경력 3년 이상으로, 교수 경력이 총 8 년 이상인 평생교육 교수자 5명을 선정하였다. 심충 면담을 통하여 자료를 수집한 후 분석하였고, 그 결과 선입견 깨기, 동화되며 소통하기, 지속적인 거듭남의 3개 주제군을 확정하였다. 본 연구 결과로 도출된 내용의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성인 발달장애인을 교육하는 평생교육 교수자들은 교수자로서의 꿈을 이루기 위해 본인 성장도 중요하지만, 학습자의 성장도 매우 중요하다고 생각하며 노력하고 있었다. 둘째, 성인 발달장애인을 대상으로 교육하는 평생교육 교수자에게 열정은 지속적인 성장으로 이끄는 동력이며 학습자에게 전이될 때 학습 촉진에 긍정적 에너지로 작용하고 있었다. 셋째, 학습자 대상의 확장에서 참여자들이 과거의 전공이나 강의했던 내용이 현재의 강으|내용과 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 장애인 평생교육 교수자의 교수 경험이 평생교육 학습사회 전반에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 평생교육의 목적을 달성하는 데 기여하고 있다고 해석할 수 있다. 이러한 결과는 장애인 평생교육 교수자에 관한 기초자료를 제공하는 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This phenomenological study was to explore the meaning of lifelong education instructors' teaching experiences for adults with developmental disabilities. In addition, as lifelong education for the differently abled continues to expand, the demand for lifelong education instructors is also increasing. Accordingly to achieve the goals of the study, three research questions were considered: first, what is the motivation for starting a lecture as a lifelong education instructor for adults with developmental disabilities? Second, what is the phenomenon experience of lifelong education instructors who educate adults with developmental disabilities? Third, what is the change through lifelong education instructors' experience of adult developmental disabilities? In order to identify the above research questions, the researcher selected five research participants who had more than 8 years of teaching experiences, more than 5 years of teaching experiences of general lecture, and 3 years of teaching experiences of adults with developmental disabilities using the phenomenological research method of Colaizzi. The data were collected and analyzed through in-depth interviews. Those in-depth interviewed narrations were coded and categorized in three: breaking prejudice, assimilating and communicating, and continuous rebirth. The results revealed as followings: first, the instructors for adults with developmental disabilities in lifelong education thought that their growth as a instructor was important to achieve their dreams as much as the growth of learners'. Second, the instructors felt their passion was important element. This was the driving force of their continuous growth and a very positive energy to promote learning of adult students. Third, it was found that the contents of the participants' past majors or lectures were related to the current lecture contents in the expansion of the targeted learners. This would be interpreted that the teaching experience of the instructors with disabilities had a positive effect lifelong education and learning society in general, and contributed to achieve the purpose of lifelong education. The above results had the meaning of providing basic data on lifelong education instructors for the differently abled.
