발달장애학생 대상의 스마트기기 기반 AAC 중재 국내 연구 동향

국문 초록

이 연구는 발달장애학생을 대상으로 국내에서 이루어진 스마트기기 기반의 AAC 중재 연구 동향을 분석하여 앞으로의 연구 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2011년부터 2021년까지 국내 학술지에 게재된 22편의 논문을 분석자료로 활용하여 전반적인 동향, 독립변인, 종속변인 및 연구 결과를 중심으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 스마트기기 기반의 AAC 중재 연구는 분석 초기에 비해 최근에 발표된 수가 다소 적었으며, 특수학교의 초등학생, 중학생을 대상으로 한 연구가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 연구 설계는 단일대상연구가 가장 많았다. 둘째, 중재 전략은 직접교수, 환경중심 언어중재, 스크립트 활동 등이 다양하게 나타났다. 중재 도구는 태블릿 PC를, 소프트웨어는 마이토키 프로그램을 사용한 연구가 가장 많았으며, 중재 장소는 특수학교, 가정, 지역사회의 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 중재의 목적은 의사소통 행동의 향상 외에도 읽기 기술, 문제행동 중재 등으로 나타났으며, 목표로 한 의사소통 기능은 요구하기, 반응하기, 인사하기 등 발달 초기 단계의 낮은 수준의 기능으로 나타났다. 넷째, 대부분의 연구에서는 스마트기기 기반 AAC의 긍정적인 중재 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 스마트기기를 활용한 발달장애학생의 AAC 지원 방안과 발전적 방향을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The study investigated the research trend about smart device-based AAC intervention for students with developmental disabilities in South Korea to propose directions for further research. 22 articles from South Korea’s domestic journals during the period of 2011 to 2021 were examined focusing on the overall trend, dependent and independent variables and the results. The results suggest that, first, elementary and middle school students with developmental disabilities were mainly studied, and the most frequent research design was single subject research. However, the number of researches has been decreased during the period. Second, intervention strategies diversified including direct instruction, milieu teaching, script activities. Tablet PC and Mytalkie were the major hardware and software for the studies, and the most frequent place of intervention was special school, followed by home, community. Third, the main purpose of intervention was improvement of communication behaviors of low standard, such as to request, to respond and to greet, in addition to cultivating reading skills and meditating problem behaviors. Forth, most researches found a positive intervention effect of smart device-based AAC. Based on the results, further directions for the research and support plans for students with developmental disabilities using smart device were discussed.
