중·고등학교의 국악교육 실태 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 음악 수업에서 국악교육이 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지 중·고등학교 현장의 실태와 음악 교사들의 인식 및 요구를 알아보고 분석하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 전국의 음악교사 72명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 응답 내용을 통계적으로 분석하여 그 결과를 논의하였다. 분석 결과, 음악 교사들은 음악 수업에서 국악 교육이 매우 필요하다고 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 국악 수업의 비중은 적게 운영하고 있었는데, 그 이유로는 학생들이 국악 교육을 원하지 않고 있으며, 국악에 관심과 흥미를 느끼지 않기 때문으로 밝혀졌다. 감상 영역의 국악 수업이 가장 많이 이루어졌으며 창작과 생활화 영역은 잘 이루어지지 않고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 주로 장구 반주로 가창 수업이 이루어졌으며 기악 수업에서도 장구를 가장 많이 다루었고 감상 수업에서는 판소리가 주요 제재로 다루어졌다. 수업에서 활용할 국악기나 국악 교육자료가 충분하지 못하다고 지적하고 있었으며, 대개는 유튜브나 국악 방송의 자료를 수업에 이용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 국악교육에 대한 교사 연수의 참여가 매우 미흡한 것으로 나타났는데, 국악 연수의 기회가 매우 적고 이에 대한 정보도 부족한 것에 기인하는 것으로 파악되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze how Korean traditional music education is conducted in music classes, the actual conditions of middle and high schools, and the perceptions and needs of music teachers. To this end, a survey was conducted on 72 music teachers across the country, and the responses were analyzed statistically and the results were discussed. As a result of the analysis, it was found that music teachers perceive that traditional music education is very necessary in music classes. However, the proportion of traditional music classes was low, and it was found that the reason was that students did not want traditional music education and were not interested in traditional music. It was found that the most common Korean music classes were conducted in the listening area, and the creation and daily life areas were not well conducted. Singing classes were mainly performed with accompaniment by janggu, and janggu was the most used in instrumental music class, and pansori was treated as the main material in appreciation class. It was pointed out that there were not enough Korean traditional instruments and Korean traditional music educational materials to be used in class, and it was found that most of them were using YouTube or Korean traditional music broadcasting materials. The participation in teacher training for traditional music education was found to be very insufficient, and it was identified that this was due to the very small number of opportunities for traditional music training and the lack of information about it.
