한국 성인의 비자살적 자해 신념이 자해행동에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 한국 성인들을 대상으로 자해사고 집단과 자해행동 집단의 비자살적 자해 신념을 비교하고 자해신념이 자해행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구를 위해 전국 성인 700명을 대상으로 비자살적 자해 신념 척도, 한국판 자해기능 평가지, 한국판 자해 척도, 특성불안 척도, 우울 척도를 사용하여 온라인 설문을 실시하였다. 자료 분석에는 SPSS 26.0을 사용하여 기술통계, 신뢰도분석, 독립표본 t검정, 상관분석, 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 자해행동자는 경도 수준의 자해 방법을 가장 빈번하게 사용하였다. 둘째, 비자살적 자해 신념 중 반해리, 대인관계 영향, 낙인, 의존, 자살방지, 즐거움, 자기처벌, 도피 하위요인에서 자해사고자와 행동자 간의 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 비자살적 자해 신념 중 긍정 신념은 자해행동과 유의한 정적 상관을 나타냈으며, 우울과 불안을 통제한 후에도 비자살적 자해 신념의 하위요인 중 긍정 신념인 의존이 자해행동을 유의미하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 자해신념이 자해행동에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 확인할 수 있었다는 데 의의가 있다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 결과를 논의하고, 후속 연구를 위한 시사점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The present study aimed to directly test whether the same nonsuicidal self-injury beliefs characterize self-injurious thought and behavior, and examine the relationship between nonsuicidal self-injury beliefs and self-injurious behavior among Korean adult. Participants were seven hundred adults who completed a series of a self-report questionnaires assessing nonsuicidal self-injury beliefs and behavior, state-trait anxiety, and depression. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. First, as a result of the study, self-injurers performed relatively less severe nonsuicidal self-injury methods. Second, there were significant differences between the self-injurious thought group and self-injurious behavior group in the subscale of the NSIBS besides the Belonging and Problematic. Second, the subscale of positive nonsuicidal self-injury beliefs evidenced positive correlations with self-injurious behavior, while the subscale of negative nonsuicidal self-injury beliefs was uncorrelated with self-injurious behavior. Third, the subscale of positive nonsuicidal self-injury beliefs evidenced positive correlations with self-injurious behavior, and the Dependence subscale was a statistically significant predictor when controlling for depression and anxiety. We hope that nonsuicidal self-injury beliefs may characterize the field somewhat in its understanding of self-injurious thoughts and behaviors. The significance and limitations of the study and future directions for the research were discussed.
