정신장애인을 대상으로 한 인문학적 문화예술교육프로그램에 참여한 정신보건전문가의 경험

국문 초록

본 연구는 정신장애인을 대상으로 한 인문학적 문화예술교육프로그램에 참여한 정신보건전문가의 경험을 통해 문화예술교육프로그램의 경험적 의미의 본질을 알아보기 위해 현상학적 방법을 통해 분석하였다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위해 정신보건전문가 6명을 대상으로 개별심층인터뷰로 진행하였고, 연구참여자들의 경험적 진술을 토대로 분석을 실시하였다. 연구참여자들의 진술을 분석한 결과 의미있는 진술을 근간으로 28개의 구성된 의미와 10개의 주제를 통해‘회원의 변화가능성을 재확인하다’, ‘사회복지에 인문학의 옷을 입다’, ‘전문가 권위주의를 벗다’로 3개의 경험의 본질적 주제가 도출되었다. 이러한 정신보건전문가의 경험적 근거를 바탕으로 문화예술프로그램의 지속가능성과 활성화를 위한 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study is a research for phenomenological analysis on the humanistic culture and art education programs for the mentally disabled, ultimately providing ways in which those disabled are given more opportunities and become more capable to participate in communities. For the study, this researcher made profound one-to-one interviews with 6 mental health experts. Through this move, those experts’ statements about the experiences of the above mentioned programs were obtained and then analyzed. As a result, those statements were largely classified into 10 categories and 28 sub-categories. And finally, the mental health experts’ experiences of the humanist culture and art education programs could be grouped in accordance with 3 themes, ‘rediscovering those programs’ possibilities of changing the mentally disabled’, ‘embedding the humanities in social welfare’ and ‘getting away with authoritarianism as professionals’. Based on these findings, then, this study made some suggestions about practices that help mentally disabled people be better community members who live their lives in healthy and meaningful manners.
