국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 학생들의 인성역량 함양을 위한 협력적 문제해결 중심(CoProC) 과학 교수 전략이 초등학생의 인성역량에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 초등학생 단계는 인성의 기초를 형성하는 시기이므로 이 시기의 인성교육은 중요하다. 이에 중등과학 교육의 맥락에서 인성역량을 함양하기 위해 개발된 협력적 문제해결 중심(CoProc) 과학 교수 전략을 초등학생을 대상으로 적용하기 위하여 초등과학교육의 맥락에서 실행할 수 있는 5가지 CoProC 전략 수업 활동을 개발하였다. 수업 전과 후 인성역량 검사 결과와 수업 중 학생들이 작성한 반성글쓰기 활동지를 수집, 분석하고 수업 후 설문 조사를 실시하여 협력적 문제해결(CoProC) 교수 전략 적용 수업에 대한 초등학생들의 인식을 알아보았다. 연구 결과, 초등학생들의 전반적인 인성역량이 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 협력적 문제해결 중심(CoProC) 과학 교수 전략이 초등과학 교육 환경에서 인성역량 함양을 위한 효과적인 교육 개입이 될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate into the impact of the Collaborative Problem-solving for Character Competence (CoProC) instruction strategy to elementary school students’ character competence. Since the elementary school is a period of forming the basis of character, character education during this period is important. The Collaborative Problem-solving for Character Competence (CoProC) instruction strategy was developed to foster character competence within the context of secondary science education. In order to apply the CoProC program for elementary school students, five CoProC activities were developed to be implemented within the context of elementary science education. The Character Competence Test was conducted before and after and students’ reflective writings and students’ character competence test results were collected and analyzed. After the intervention, questionnaires were also examined and analyzed. The result of this study showed an improvement in character competence in the experimental group. Based on these results, the researchers have found that CoProC instruction strategy would be an effective teaching intervention to cultivate character competence in an elementary science education setting.
