자폐성 장애를 가진 자녀 양육경험 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 자폐성 장애를 가진 아동의 어머니들이 문제행동에 대처하면서 어떤 양육경험을 하는지 이해하고 장애아 양육경험을 통해 발견한 의미를 신학적으로 성찰하는 것이다. 그리고 이를 바탕으로 자폐성 장애아 가족을 위한 기독교상담의 방향성을 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구는 중도 자폐성 장애를 가진 아동을)0년 이상 양육한 어머니들을 대상으로 심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였고,)6개의 주제모음과 5개의 범주가 도출되었다. 문제행동 대처를 통한 양육경험을 구성하는 요소들은 주관적 대처, 문제 상황 해결하기, 정서 다루기, 모순된 모자녀 관계 경험과 다양한 사회적 관계경험, 그리고 자기인식의 경험 등으로 이는 ‘모성몰두적 돌봄’이라는 양육경험의 중심현상을 만든다. 이 돌봄의 특징은 내부–양육자의 관점을 통해 문제행동에 접근하는 것으로 어머니가 아동의 상태에 대하여 주관적으로 판단하고 대처함으로써 문제행동과 관련된 생활 전반을 관리하는 모습을 보여준다. 이에 연구 참여자들은 스트레스와 적응 경험을 넘어서서 양육경험을 재해석하고 장애를 가진 자녀를 신성한 개인으로 발견함과 동시에 아동의 사회적 생존을 지원하며 어머니의 자기변형에 이르게 된다. 그러므로 기독교상담은 어머니들의 주체적 삶의 경험을 통한 장애 이해와 소통하는 것이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand what kind of parenting experience mothers are having as they cope with behavior–problems of children with autism and to reflect theologically what the mothers of children with autism find meaning. This study collected data though interviews with mothers that had more than)3 years of experience with children with autism and from the results of the study,)6 themes and 5 categories appeared. The parenting elements from coping with behavior problems, subjective management, solving problematic situations, coping emotion, contradicting mother–child relationships and diverse social relationships, and the experience of self–transformation were deducted. Through these 5 categories ‘Caring based on the maternal preoccupation’ were emerged. The mothers of children have a internal–parent approach that reflects subjective judgement and evaluation, overcomes stress, finds meaning in their child as a sacred being. Mothers re–interpret their own experience independently, resulting in self–transformation.
