국문 초록

본 연구는 20-30대 성소수자들이 정체성을 형성하는 과정에 가하는 종교의 영향을 분석한 생애사 연구이다. 본 연구에서 Troiden의 성소수자 정체성 형성과정 모델을 통해 참여자의 생의 이야기를 분석하였고, Lartey의 해방신학 방법론을 통해 사회를 분석하고 성경을 재해석하여 목회상담자들을 향한 실천을 제언하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 성소수자의 정체성 형성은 ‘성소수성에 대한 인식-나를 확인하는 과정-종교와의 소통-삶의 핵심요소로 전환’의 과정으로 이뤄진다. 둘째, 종교는 Troiden이 제시한 정체성 혼란기에 결정적인 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 참여자들은 성소수자를 향한 부정적인 인식 속에서 낙인을 경험하지만, 수용적인 관계를 통해 낙인에서 벗어나며, 다른 소수자를 위한 헌신의 길을 지향하게 된다. 넷째, 성소수자를 둘러싼 성경을 해석할 때 당시 사회는 남성우월적인 문화였음을 염두해야 한다. 다섯째, 목회상담자로서 성소수자들과 같은 위치에서 사회와 성경을 해석하고 억압으로부터의 해방을 외쳐야 한다.

영문 초록

This study life history research analyzes the influence of religion on the process of identity formation among LGBT in their 20s-30s. In this study, the stories of participants’ lives were analyzed through Troiden’s LGBT identity formation process model and tried to analyzed society and reinterpreted the Bible through Lartey s liberation theology methodology to suggest practice for pastoral counselors. First, LGBT identity formation consists of the process of perception of sexual minority-process of identifying myself-communication with religion-change to a key element of life’ Second, religion has a decisive effect on Troiden’s proposed period of identity confusion. Third, participants experience the stigma of LGBT, but escape stigma through receptive relationships and pursue a commitment to others. Fourth, when interpreting the Bible surrounding LGBT, it d be noted society was a male-dominant culture at the time. Fifth, as pastoral counselors we‘d interpret society and the Bible from the perspective of LGBT and urge liberation.
