탈북청소년 관련 학위논문 연구 동향과 과제

국문 초록

우리나라는 남북 분단 이후 거의 70년 이상을 정치적 체계가 다른 국가로 서로 대립상황에서 지내왔다. 국민의 통일에 대한 열망으로 2018년 4·27 판문점 선언, 이어진 9월 평양 공동선언 등 일정은 진행되어가고 있지만, 여전히 국민의 기대와는 다르게 정치적인 견해가 다른 국가들에 의해 통일의 길은 여전히 예측하기 힘든 상황에 부닥쳐 있다. 반면 우리나라와 비슷한 시기에 동·서 분단되었던 독일은 1949년 동독과 서독으로 분리된 후 약 40년 후 1990년 하나의 독일로 통일되었다. 독일의 경우 불과 40년 만에 통일을 완성하였으나, 그 통일과정에서 동·서 청소년 갈등은 청소년 교육문제, 청소년 실업 문제, 청소년 폭력문제 등이 발생하였다. 우리나라도 마찬가지로 학업과 진로 문제는 청소년들의 주된 고민이다. 또한, 탈북청소년들이 국내에 입국하여 적응하기 힘든 것이 학교적응과 성적, 진로 문제이다. 본 연구는 RISS(한국교육학술정보원)에 등재된 탈북청소년 관련 학위논문 386편의 동향 분석하였다. 연도, 학교 유형, 주제, 연구원의 전공 등을 중심으로 분석하였고, 남북하나재단에서 시행하는 탈북청소년실태조사를 참고하여 그들의 고민과 스트레스를 확인하여 최근의 연구 동향과 비교하여 보았다. 국내에 입국한 전체 탈북청소년 14,660명 중에서 18.8%인 2,761명이 등교하고 있으며, 탈북청소년 중에서 중국 등 제3국에서 출생한 후 중도입국한 청소년은 1,549명으로 전체 탈북학생 중에서 61.2%를 차지하고 있다. 탈북청소년 관련 논문 중 석사 논문 341편, 박사학위 45편으로 모두 386편 중 탈북청소년 전체대상으로 한 논문이 186편(48.2%)을 차지하고 있다. 연구 주제는 적응, 교육 관련 주제가 많이 다루어 지고 있다. 또한, 점차로 탈북청소년의 진로, 직업, 스트레스 등 상담과 심리치료에 관련된 주제가 늘어나는 추세를 보인다. 전반적으로 적응과 교육이 논문을 주도하고 있으며, 다양한 전공자의 연구가 점차로 늘어나고 있으며, 이는 사회 전반적으로 탈북청소년에 관한 관심이 증가하고 있다는 것에 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Korea has been in a confrontation with each other for almost 70 years since the division of the North and South as countries with different political systems. Although schedules such as the April 27 Panmunjom Declaration in 2018 and the September Pyongyang Joint Declaration are underway due to the people s desire for unification, it is still difficult to predict the way for unification due to other countries around it. On the other hand, Germany, which was divided into East and West Germany around the same time as Korea, was unified into one Germany in 1990, about 40 years after it was separated into East and West Germany in 1949. In the case Germany, unification was completed in only 40 years, but in the process the unification process, conflicts between young people in the East and West occurred such as youth education, youth unemployment, and youth violence. Likewise in Korea, academic and career issues are the main concerns of adolescents. In addition, it is difficult for North Korean refugee youths to adapt to Korea due to school adaptation, grades, and career paths. This study analyzed the trends of 386 dissertations related to North Korean defector youth listed in the RISS (Korea Institute of Education and Academic Information). The study analyzed the year, school type, theme, and major of researchers. The study examined their concerns and stress by referring to the survey on the actual condition of North Korean defectors conducted by the South and North Korea Hana Foundation and compared them with recent research trends. As for the research topic, a lot of topics related to adaptation and education are being dealt with. In addition, topics related to counseling and psychotherapy such as career, occupation, and stress of North Korean defectors are gradually increasing. Overall, adaptation and education are leading the thesis, and the research of various majors is gradually increasing, which is meaningful that the interest in North Korean youths is increasing in society as a whole.
