수학학습장애 학생을 위한 수학 중재 관련 국내 단일대상연구 동향 및 CEC 질적지표에 의한 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 수학학습장애 학생을 위한 수학 중재 연구 중에서 단일대상연구만을 선정하여 연구의 동향을 분석하고, CEC(Council for Exceptional Children, 2014)에서 제시한 단일대상연구 질적지표에 근거하여 각 논문의 질을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 논문 선정 기준에 따라 총 16편의 논문을 선정하였다. 선정된 논문의 연구 동향은 발표연도, 연구 참여자, 실험설계 및 절차, 독립변인, 종속변인에 따라 분석하였고, 질적 수준은 특수교육 분야의 증거기반 실제를 위한 CEC 지표 중 단일대상연구 질적지표에 따라 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 수학학습장애 학생을 위한 수학 중재 관련 단일대상연구는 주로 초등학생을 대상으로 이루어지고 있었으며, 다양한 세부전략(인지전략 교수, 구체물 활용, 보조공학 활용)을 활용하여 수학 영역 변인(수감각, 덧셈과 뺄셈, 곱셈과 나눗셈, 문장제 문제해결) 및 수학 외 영역 변인을 향상시키고자 하였다. 질적지표를 적용한 결과는 모든 질적지표를 충족한 연구가 1편 있었으며, 질적지표의 80% 이상을 충족한 연구가 6편 있었다. 질적지표 전체 평균 중 연구 참여자 기술 항목에서 가장 높은 질적 수준을, 중재자 기술 항목에서 가장 낮은 질적 수준을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과를 종합하여 수학학습장애 관련 중재 연구에 대한 논의와 단일대상연구 연구방법에 대한 방향을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine Korea single-case research on math interventions for students with mathematics learning disabilities. To this end, the study reviewed math interventions for students with mathematics learning disabilities that have been published from 2001 to 2020. Sixteen single-case research studies were analyzed regarding publication year, participant characteristics, research design, independent variables, dependent variables, and CEC quality indicators. The results revealed that most single-case research on math interventions for students with mathematics learning disabilities were conducted for elementary school-aged students. The math interventions employed to improve mathematics skills (i.e., number sense, calculation, problem solving) were a variety of specific strategies such as cognitive strategy, utilization of concrete objects, and assistive technology. According to an analysis of research based on CEC quality indicators, there was only one research which met all the 22 quality indicators. Six studies met more than 80 percent of CEC quality indicators. On a closer examination of individual quality indicators, participants description items obtained the highest rating scores and instructor description items obtained the lowest rating scores. Based on the synthesis of the findings, implications for math interventions for students with mathematics learning disabilities were discussed and implications for future research were suggested.
