국문 초록

본고는 내러티브 탐구의 관계적 존재론과 그 특징에 주목하여, 내러티브 탐구자에게 있어 연구의 과정이 갖는 의미가 무엇인지를 드러내고자 한다. 이를 위해 연구자의 학위논문 연구 경험을 중심으로, 내러티브 탐구의 전 과정에서 발생한 긴장과 이를 협상해 나가는 과정을 보여주었다. 연구자의 내러티브 탐구 경험에서 ‘긴장’은 연구를 계획하고 연구 참여자를 연구에 초대하는 과정, 현장 텍스트를 구성하고 중간 및 최종 연구 텍스트를 완성해 나가는 순환적 과정 전체에서 발생하였다. 즉, 내러티브 탐구는 연구의 시작과 끝, 그리고 그 이후의 삶을 살아가는 과정에서 관계적 윤리를 살아내고자 부단히 애쓰는 과정이며, 연구자에게 있어서는 더 나은 내러티브 탐구자이자 인간존재로 살아가고자 하는 정체성 형성의 과정이었다. 이처럼 내러티브 탐구는 연구자와 연구 참여자가 각자의 경험을 이야기하고 다시 이야기하는 가운데 다시 살아가는 이야기로서의 ‘정체성’을 형성해 나가는 과정이며, 이는 곧 연구자의 ‘관계적 내러티브 탐구자-되기’이다.

영문 초록

This study focuses on the relational ontology of narrative inquiry and its characteristics, and tries to understand the meaning of the research process for the narrative inquirer. To this end, I focused on the research experience of the researcher s doctoral thesis, it showed the tensions that occurred in the entire process of narrative inquiry and the process of negotiating it. In my narrative inquiry experience, tensions arose in the entire cyclical process of planning research, inviting research participants to research, constructing field texts, and completing interim and final research texts. In other words, narrative inquiry is a process of constantly striving to live out relational ethics at the beginning and end of research, and in the course of life after that, and for the researcher, it was a process of forming an identity to live as a better narrative inquirer and human being. As such, narrative inquiry is the process of forming an identity as a story of reliving while the researcher and research participant tell and retell their own experiences, that is, the researcher s becoming a relational narrative inquirer .
