국문 초록

본 연구는 2015 개정 초등학교 교육과정 기후변화 및 에너지 교육 관련 내용이 통합, 사회, 과학, 실과, 도덕 교과를 중심으로 얼마나 반영되어 있는지를 분석하여 그 시사점을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 기후변화 및 에너지 교육이 반영되어 있는지 새로이 고안한 분석 준거에 비추어 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2015 개정 교육과정에서 기후변화 및 에너지 교육은 주로 5ㆍ6학년 위주로 편성되어 있었다. 기후변화와 에너지 교육의 개념 정립은 고학년에서만 주로 이루어지고 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 초등학교 교육과정에 기후변화 및 에너지 교육의 내용이 보다 고르게 분배될 필요가 있다고 본다. 둘째, 기후변화의 이해와 원인 영역을 모든 학년과 교과를 통틀어 가장 많이 언급되고 있다. 기후변화에 대한 인지적 영역뿐만 아니라, 학생들의 삶 속에서 기후변화와 에너지 교육이 녹아들 수 있도록 초등학교 시절부터 기후변화에 대한 의식과 에너지 절약 태도를 내면화할 수 있도록 생활 속 실천 중심의 ‘프로젝트’를 도입할 필요가 있다. 본 연구의 분석 결과를 토대로 하여 기후변화 및 에너지 교육의 가치를 학생들이 이해하고, 삶에서 직접 실천할 수 있는 역량을 키울 수 있는 다양한 교재와 프로그램의 개발에 도움이 되는 기초자료로 활용되길 바란다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze how much the contents related to climate change and energy education in the 2015 revised elementary school curriculum are reflected in the integrated, social, science, practical course, and moral subjects, and to examine the implications. The results of the analysis are as follows in light of the newly devised analysis criteria to see if climate change and energy education are reflected. First, climate change and energy education were mainly organized in the 5th and 6th graders in the 2015 revised curriculum. The concept of climate change and energy education is mainly dealt with in the upper grades. Therefore, it is necessary to distribute the contents of climate change and energy education evenly in the elementary school curriculum. Second, the understanding and cause of climate change are mentioned most in all grades and subjects. In order to incorporate climate change and energy education in students lives as well as cognitive areas of climate change, it is necessary to introduce a project centered on daily life so that students can internalize their consciousness and energy saving attitude toward climate change from elementary school days. Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that the value of climate change and energy education will be used as basic data to help students understand the value of climate change and energy education and develop various textbooks and programs that can develop their ability to practice directly in life.
