한국판 비자살적자해 신념 척도의 타당화

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 Siddaway, Wood, O’Carroll, O’Connor(2019)가 개발한 비자살적자해 신념 척도를 한국어로 번안 및 타당화 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 만 18세 이상 성인 395명을 대상으로 설문이 이루어졌으며 그 중 설문에 중복 응답한 25명을 제외한 총 370명을 대상으로 비자살적자해 신념 척도의 요인구조를 확인하고 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 한국판 비자살적자해 신념 척도는 10개 요인의 총 39문항으로 원척도와 동일하게 구성되었고 신뢰도는 .91로 나타났다. 둘째, 한국판 비자살적자해 신념 척도는 자해행동척도(SHI), 정서조절곤란 척도(DERS), 대인관계 욕구 질문지(INQ) 및 자살시도 신념 척도(SABS)와는 유의한 상관을 보여 수렴 및 변별 타당도를 충족하였다. 셋째, 한국판 비자살적자해 신념 척도는 인구통계학적 변인 및 관련 심리적 변인을 통제한 후에도 자해사고 및 자해행동에 대한 유의한 증분 설명량을 보여줌으로써 증분 타당도가 검증되었다. 이상의 결과를 고려할 때, 한국판 비자살적자해 신념 척도는 신뢰도와 타당도가 양호한 것으로 확인되어 비자살적자해를 측정하는 새로운 도구로 활용될 수 있음을 시사한다. 끝으로 본 연구의 의의 및 제한점, 후속연구의 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The present study aimed to validate a Korean version of the Nonsuicidal Self-Injury Beliefs Scale(NSIBS) developed by Siddaway, Wood, O Carroll, and O Connor(2019). Excluding twenty-five repeated responders, three hundred and seventy adults in South Korea completed NSIBS along with other psychometric measures. We administered an exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis to examine the factor structure of the NSIBS, and verified reliability and validity. The results showed that the Korean version of the NSIBS indicated a total of 39 items of 10 factor model fit, the same as the original scale, with the reliability of .91. The Korean version of the NSIBS was significantly correlated with self-injury, emotion regulation, interpersonal needs and suicide attempt beliefs which supported the convergent and discriminant validity. The Korean version of the NSIBS added substantially to the explained variance of nonsuicidal self-injury even after controlling for the demographic variables and related psychological variables, which supported incremental validity. The current findings suggest the Korean version of the NSIBS is a reliable and valid instrument to assess nonsuicidal self-injury. Limitation of the current study, and future directions for this research were discussed.
