국문 초록

기독론은 기독교 신학의 정수이다. 예수 그리스도를 어떻게 이해하는가에 따라 그의 신학과 실천은 판이하게 달라질 수밖에 없다. 존 요더의 기독론은 신학적으로는 그리스도 중심주의이고, 실천의 측면에서는 기독교 평화주의로 귀결된다. 따 라서 이 논문의 일차적 목적은 존 요더의 기독론을 예수 그리스도는 주님이라는 신앙 고백의 관점으로 정리하고 설명하는 것이다. 그리고 그 기독론이 왜 정치적이고 평화주의인지를 해명하는데 주안점을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 한편으로 복음서 에 기록된 예수 이해가 정치적이고 비폭력적인지를 탐색한다. 다른 한편으로 예수를 비정치적으로 이해하는 입장들을 비판한다. 그리하여 그리스도 이해는 신학적 담론의 영역에만 국한된 것이 아니라 교회의 사회적 실천과도 직접적으로 결부되 어 있으며, 더 나아가 비폭력적 사회 참여의 근거를 마련할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Christology is the essence of Christian theology. Depending on how he/she understands Jesus Christ, his/her theology and practice must change dramatically. John Yoder s Christology is christocentric in theology, and it results in Christian pacifism in practice. Therefore, the primary purpose of this essay is to summarize and to explain John Yoder s Christology in the view of the confession of faith that Jesus Christ is the Lord. And the emphasis is on explaining why his Christology is political and pacifistic. To this end, on the one hand, we explore whether the understanding of Jesus recorded in the Gospels is political and nonviolent. On the other hand, it criticizes the positions of non-political understanding of Jesus. Thus, Christ s understanding is not limited to the domain of theological discourse, but is directly linked to the social practice of the church and, furthermore, can provide a basis for nonviolent social participation.
