국문 초록

본 연구는 유아기 발달 특성에 적합한 감각 활동과 교육 매체인 그림 동화를 연계한 중재가 발달지체유아의 수업참여 행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구는 단일대상연구로서 AB설계를 활용해 유치원에 재원 중인 발달지체유아 3명을 대상으로 진행하였다. 대상유아의 수업참여 행동 중 목표행동 유형을 주의집중과 교사의 지시 따르기로 정하고 대상 유아의 행동을 비디오로 녹화하여 10분 동안 발생하는 목표 행동을 부분간격표집법을 사용하여 기록하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 발달지체유아의 수업참여 행동 중 주의집중 발생률이 중재 이후에 증가하였으며, 둘째, 발달지체유아의 수업참여 행동 중 교사의 지시 따르기 발생률이 중재 이후에도 증가하였다. 셋째, 발달지체유아의 수업참여 행동 중 주의집중 발생률과 교사의 지시 따르기 발생률이 중재 후에도 일정 수준 유지되었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 기존 그림동화 읽기와 관련된 연구와는 달리 차별화된 감각자극 매체를 활용한 중재가 발달지체유아의 수업참여 행동에 긍정적인 변화를 주었다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of reading a picture fairy tale associated with sensory activities on class participation behaviors of young children with developmental delay. The study was a single-subject study and was conducted with three young children with developmental delay who were enrolled in kindergarten using the AB design. Among the children’s participation in class, the target behavior type was decided to focus on attention and follow the teacher’s instructions, and the target behavior that occurred for 10 minutes was filmed by partial-interval recording of the target child’s behavior. As a result of the study, the incidence of attention span among their participation behaviors in class increased after intervention. Also, the incidence rate of following teacher’s instruction increased after intervention as well. Furthermore, the incidence of attention span and following the teacher’s instruction remained constant even after intervention. The results of this study had positive effects on the increase and maintenance of participation behaviors in class of young children with developmental delay, and led to a positive change by using sensory stimulation media differentiated from studies related to reading standard picture books.
