기후변화 문제와 관련된 논증적 글쓰기에 나타난 중등 과학 예비교사들의 논증 구조 유형 분석

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 중등 과학 예비교사를 대상으로 8주 동안 기후변화 및 논증적 글쓰기와 관련된 강의를 진행한 후, 그들의 논증 구조와 논증 구조 유형을 알아보았다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 과학 논증적 글쓰기 평가 결과에 따른 논증 구조 유형을 분석하기 위해 논증의 요소와 논증 구조 유형을 분류하였다. 논증의 요소는 Williams & Colomb (2007)의 분류를 바탕으로 ‘주장, 이유, 근거, 반박 고려’로 정리하였고, 논증 구조 유형은 논증의 요소를 바탕으로 5단계로 나누어 분석하였다. 둘째, 과학 논증적 글쓰기 평가 결과에 따른 논증 구조 유형을 분석하기 위해 논증의 요소와 논증 구조 유형을 분류하여 중등 과학 예비교사의 논증적 글쓰기 결과물을 분석할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 상당수의 예비교사들이 타당한 논증 구조를 갖추지 못함을 알게 되었다. 따라서 예비교사들에게 논증적 글쓰기에서 가장 기본적인 논증 구조에 대한 교육이 이루어져야 한다.

영문 초록

In this study, after 8 weeks of lectures on climate change and argumentative writing for pre-service secondary science teachers, their structure and patterns of argumentation were examined. The results are as follows. First, to analyze the pattern of argumentation structure according to the results of the scientific argumentative writing evaluation, the elements of argumentation and the pattern of argumentation structure were classified. The elements of argumentation were summarized as ‘claim, reason, evidence, and counterargument’ based on the classification of Williams & Colomb (2008). Second, in order to analyze the type of argument structure according to the results of the scientific argument writing, the elements of argument and the type of argument structure were classified to analyze the results of the pre-service secondary science teacher’s argument writing. Through this, it was found that many pre-service teachers did not have a valid argument structure. Therefore, it is necessary to educate prospective teachers about the most basic argument structure in argumentative writing.
